A - He probably wasn't paid much for that.
B - One does not fight over a meal if they are rolling in dough.
C - This could be like Tyson vs Jones. Low risk and a payday.
I doubt it was over the bill. It was probably over something else.

I think Tarver will win this easily.
He just needs to box him.

This is Tarver’s way of entering the WBA rankings.. :OhYes:
Are we seriously talking about this nonsense fight?

It was probably over the waffles, because we all know waffle house food is worth fighting for.......and people rolling in dough always eat at waffle house....

Of course not. We are engaged in a serious discourse about waffle toppings. :D

By the way, there's another interesting fact about names. Tarver hasn't won any Franks, while Mir defeated two Antonios (Nogueira X2, Silva) and Antoni Hardonk. It seems like Tarver is condemned.

But what are the stats on them fighting Mir's and Tarver's?

Mir's best boxing displays were in breaking down and stopping Nogueira, in destroying Silva and Duffee.
Personally, I think the Noqueira fight stands out as his great striking performance and although his stand up looked much more composed in his fights against Bigfoot and Dufee, their chins were non-existant at this point and the KO was almost inevitable.

Either way, it's still not good enough to beat Tarver with his skills, it may just be who's body has the most left which is a sad way to judge a fight.
Noqueira boxed in the 2007 Pan American games in Rio. He was decent. I ref'd one of his fights in the quarter finals. He won but lost to the Cuban in the semi's. He also fought big Bob Sapp who was like 375 lbs. in a Pride fight. He got hammered early on but eventually got Sapp on the ground and tapping out to an arm bar. These guys are all wacked fighting at their age.

No doubt Tarver will break the poor Mir but at his age, he should be concerned with doing something else, like training his junior.

By the way, Mir is training his daughter in MMA and she has recently started a pro-career there successfully.

If Jake Paul wants you on his undercard, you do it. Mir wasn't a good boxer by UFC standards. Easy money.
Since when is Jake Paul an household name ? The man is a meme fighter and is only destined to have meme fight. That's why he is about and people after just a couple of years are starting to caugh up with the bs and understands why those fights are ridiculous and shouldn't happen.
He's the biggest name in boxing.
Wish he was trolling but sadly not far from the truth. Boxing has kind of become boring, with the top fighters not fighting the other best.

Opening it up for these so-called meme guys that people care more about.

Yep and the top boxers that don't want to fight each other deserve to take a backseat to the "meme fighters"
If Crawford vs Spence actually does happen I really hope it is on the undercard of a Jake Paul event and they make a fraction of the money Paul makes.

He might be older in fight years as well. The motorcycle accident, plus other injuries that come with MMA, broken arm, has been knocked out 10x.

Tarver is out. He didn’t meet the requirements set out by the Georgia State commission.

Replaced by Steve Cunningham. This is a worse option for Mir.

Probably he was prepared as an substitute from the beginning.

Of course, Cunningham is way past prime and rusty, but less than Tarver, and he's at least 44 now.

Nice, 44 years is not totally grandpa. He will mop the floor with Mir as a warning for mma fighters who are challenging top boxers in boxing matches.

Georgia commission has a bylaw that says a fighter age 50 or older has to have had 10 fights in the 10 preceding years.
Tarver doesn't qualify.

That's a fair enough rule. Should apply everywhere to stop the old guys hurting themselves.

As I never heard of the other guy I really can't tell who's the most likely to win
Tarver should easily beat Frank Mir, who has the same level of boxing experience as McGregor.

Antonio tarver is broke for the person who asked. He owes a ton in back child support and he lost that sweet showtime gig because of steroids he has almost no money coming in
