It's amazing how many people don't realize his 'Body Snatcher' nickname came about because his father was a funeral director in Merthyr Tydfil...

Don’t be ruining my Easter Sunday. Mike is British through and through. MBE long overdue.
Exactly, I mean it's as clear as day, he's as English as can be, as English as curry goat and rice, ackee, saltfish and Eccles cake.

All jokes aside, it sounds like he's fallen on hard times which is a shame.

Mike and his family parked their trailers up on the children's play area near us a few years back. I had a chat with him about his career while he was having a relaxing shit under the climbing frame.

Mike works in my local Aldi now and i often chat with him,one fight he likes to talk about was the dramatic ko of former P4P star Don Curry and coming over to the UK to beat Graham and Watson, but he told me that collecting the tins of spam and rip off pot noodles from the garden tools section and returning them to their correct shelf is far more satisfying than any of those wins.

I once saw Mike at the side of the A47 near Acle, selling golf balls he'd retrieved from a lake, all separated by brand and neatly placed on an old Black and Decker Workmate. Lovely guy.
