2 of them dropped him

granted, i still think his chin is okay enough, and he recovered reasonably fast, but he's no ironman
If we are judging him at world level then yes AJ, Parker, Arreola in that order. Two of them dropped him. Yes they did but one of them is arguably the best puncher in the world (probably doesn't hit as hard as Wilder but the missiles thrown by Joshua have a more sophisticated guidance and delivery system) and he hit Andy with his best and Andy got dropped but got up.

Chris Arreola carries respectable power but he isn't known as a dangerous puncher. He also dropped Andy but Andy got up.

There are a few possible explanations:
Arreola and Joshua are similar in terms of punching power. I think we can rule that one out.
Ruiz is easy enough to knock down but very difficult to keep down. That sounds rather like T. Fury, I guess that's a plausible explanation.
Alternatively Ruiz getting dropped by Arreola was an aberration and he was uncharacteristically susceptible maybe as a result of weight-loss, maybe some other reason, maybe Arreola hit him at exactly the right time in exactly the right place.
I guess we have insufficient data to reach any conclusion at this time as to the quality of Andy's chin. It has certainly put a doubt in my mind that didn't exist before.

Scoring is the weak point in boxing.
Anyway, he knocked Ruiz down and deserved more than one round.
That's me finished.
The scores seem very reasonable based on these highlights:

Please no more talk about the KD in R2. It didn't happen
Laugh like an idiot if you want but there was a short right hand in round two that
knocked Ruiz down and was called a knockdown.
That's reality. Not fan fantasy.
I am laughing at how brazen they are being. I am not a fan of the PBC's propaganda.

They are shameless with how they try to paint these false narratives. It's quite disgraceful really that they can get away with it. But they know not everyone was going to pay to watch Arreola v Ruiz Jr. and they control the highlights. They did something similiar with Wilder v Fury 1 after the fact. BT Sports uploaded the original full fight. So PBC/Fox re-uploaded, having deleted the original commentary (Malignaggi), and added a new Wilder friendly commentary track that kept calling punches that Wilder missed as great shots.

But this...this is some next level BS

2 things I didn’t know until I watched this fight were that Arreola was down to 228 which is the lightest I have seen him in over a decade & that this fight was a WBA title eliminator. Not sure how Arreola would be able to participate in an eliminator but then again if Lovejoy can be ranked #15 in the WBA & Oquendo still eligible for a title shot not fighting since 2014 nothing surprises me from the WBA anymore.

The judging wasn’t as far off as Arreola claimed. I scored the fight 117-110 for Ruiz. I only gave Arreola rounds 2 & 3 with the extra point from the KD. When he hurt his arm in the 7th or 8th round he stopped throwing the left hook & pawed with his jab. Ruiz completely took over at that point. Good fight but not as close as Arreola & some claimed. That is just my opinion of course. No rematch needed as Ruiz clearly won.

I think Arreola still has a few fights in him but they will be secondary fights or against some younger HW on the move. He is a solid gatekeeper like Chisora. I’d love to see Arreola/Chisora...
Nice summary. One thing I would add, Arreola's arm was disabled by a Ruiz hook to the shoulder. Though perhaps it was a bit fortuitous how Ruiz landed on the should blade as Arreola was throwing the jab. Still it wouldn't surprise me if Ruiz was under instructions to hit the arms given he is training in Canelo's camp.
I completely agree there's no need for a rematch.

He's not a great heavyweight, but is good. Lower top 20 probably. Ortiz or Wilder will probably KO him if he fights one of them next. I say that because Ortiz's father recently predicted he would beat both of them.
lol, you and your love of mr peds ortiz, you love mentioning manny and peds but luis gets off clean doesnt he

old luis just beats bums these days, hasnt won a significant fight in years, let's see him try it vs andy
Hopefully we will find out. Yes, Ortiz is a former ped guy, but so is Canelo, Fury, and many others. No one gets off clean in my book, but in yours they seem to. We can all thank Floyd for forcing the testing we see today, to expose the cheats.

What what I posted? Did you add it? I was working it roughly, but if you’ve added them them fair enough.

I think it does much less than that
You think they’d get as much as 200k? Has it been promoted heavily in the US? I’ve seen very little promotion for it on mainstream sports sites.
No. Thats what i assume the target is

Breakeven 125k is my guess

Id guess sales 75k is what happens
Runored to be 125k sales which all things considered is better than i expected and right around breakeven.
