haye and fury both beat chisora better than pulev did, usyk i had about the same, though tbf pulev did win handily
too bad his career has been so mediocre in the 5 years since

Stop with the Pooh-lev shite.Boxtune wrote: ↑03 May 2021, 21:55I bet you never watched Pulev VS chisora and hughie ... Pulev beat chisora so badly that no other fighter could do, and that was prime chisora. Even Dirty Eddie paid lot of money to judges to score for chisora. But it was like a man beating up a child.candyslim wrote: ↑03 May 2021, 13:22You my friend are on drugs![]()
The only decent fighter beaten by Pulev in the last 5 years is Chisora (split decision if I remember correctly?) unless you count Fury-light. Considerkng he's British I can safely assume that you don't.
Pulev is the best heavyweight in the world ... at beating nobody of note yet still maintaining a world ranking. People are finally getting wise to Mr Pulev which is why his top ten ranking is no longer automatic.
Even at 40, still Pulev beats Parker ,chisora, whyte , ruiz .. current crop of heavyweight are shit.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking update - Parker vs Chisora, Ruiz vs Arreola
The most funny thing is whtye was crying so hard in eveey interview as why Pulev went 10 rounds with AJ and himself lasted just 7 rounds. He was blaming AJ allowed fight to go longer

If i was at interview, i would have given whyte hard slap on the face and stop crying.

Can’t belive how many people are leaving Parker behind povetkin. Parker just beat a guy in the top 15, with a mediocre performance sure but fornicating hell when comparing it to a povetkin that could hardly walk to the ring and got smashed to bits by whyte (who realistically isn’t even much better than chisora if at all I don’t think). Harsh.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking update - Parker vs Chisora, Ruiz vs Arreola
Question A: How are the rankings affected by
Joseph Parker's SD 12 win over
Dereck Chisora?
My vote: no change.
Question B: How are the rankings affected by
Andy Ruiz's UD 12 win over
Chris Arreola?
My vote: no change. Ruiz is lucky Hunter and Povetkin have not been impressive in the recent past.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking update - Parker vs Chisora, Ruiz vs Arreola
You are wrong about everything boxtune. No surprises there. I did watch both fights but Pulev v Chisora was 5 years ago so just for you I watched it again this morning.
In many ways Hughie is still a boy. He got a bad cut against Pulev and basically panicked. I'm not saying he would have beaten Pulev but he should have done a lot better.
Chisora was a split decision. That was ridiculous. Almost as ridiculous as your unsubstantiated allegation about Eddie Hearn. He doesn't appoint the judges, the British Boxing Board of Control do that. The Swiss judge was way out of line, but it surely can't have escaped your notice that Eddie's fighters frequently lose decisions at home, in fact Chisora was the home fighter against Parker. Look how that turned out.
A few observations:
1. I scored round 9 to Chisora. Rounds 3 and 6 also arguably Chisora's, but I scored all others for Pulev.
2. Some judges score for the fighter who is going forwards. It was Chisora who was making the fight.
3. It was Pulev's best ever performance but at no point did he ever look like stopping Chisora.
4. It was only Dereck Chisora who has no signature wins and is usually ranked between 10 and 20 in the world.
5. Dereck always struggles with boxers who move and are reluctant to engage.
6. Pulev did quite a lot of grabbing and holding and was reluctant to engage.
7. The most effective single shots were thrown by Chisora. He shook Pulev with a short left in the 9th and a couple of times with the right in earlier rounds,
In conclusion it was Pulev's best performance and his best opponent for at least 5 years, and an opponent who was made to measure for him. An opponent who is decent at best.
That's your number 4 or 5 in the world ???

Ruiz same
Parker same
Arreola same

i mean, arguably beating joe parker is better than anything oscar rivas has been doing lately isnt it
i kinda feel for del....loses split decisions to whyte and parker that could've easily gone his way (i thought he won both), and now ppl cling to the judges to say he hasnt done anything, even though the judges dont change what happened in the ring and they were split in those fights
he was obviously totally robbed vs helly too

True but there are fighters not facing ejection from our top 15 who have never been in a big fight and who seem in no rush to change that.tiny_acres wrote: ↑04 May 2021, 14:04

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking update - Parker vs Chisora, Ruiz vs Arreola
So the word is Parker was having trouble with his elbow.
He has had an operation on both elbows, bone splints.
Dunno what this latest injury means, but having to have a second operation isn't encouraging.

higgins said he injured it about halfway through, funny enough that's when he started winning rounds

Could be Oogs, but I seen one x-ray of the pre-op bone splints. No reason why there isn't more, or new ones. Let's wait and see.oogiebe wrote: ↑04 May 2021, 18:06margaret thatcher wrote: ↑04 May 2021, 17:52 higgins said he injured it about halfway through, funny enough that's when he started winning roundsIt's all a lot of BS, as you know. well, maybe he should injure his elbow more, since that's when he started doing better
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking update - Parker vs Chisora, Ruiz vs Arreola
Take out those who lose big fights, and those who swerve them, or have yet to participate in them, we might struggle to name more than half a dozen fighters to fill our top 15.tiny_acres wrote: ↑04 May 2021, 15:32And I'm sure I'd argue they don't deserve a spot eithercandyslim wrote: ↑04 May 2021, 15:11True but there are fighters not facing ejection from our top 15 who have never been in a big fight and who seem in no rush to change that.tiny_acres wrote: ↑04 May 2021, 14:04

Chisora deserves his place. He's not scared of anyone and with a few breaks from the judges he'd have some respectable wins to put on his balance sheet. He's not top tier but he deserves credit for fighting those who are/ were.

Is it his elbow that is an ongoing issue? Or his hands? He had surgery not too long ago.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑04 May 2021, 19:26 well, maybe he should injure his elbow more, since that's when he started doing better![]()
Said it would give him more power once fixed and would fight more aggressive. But nothing.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking update - Parker vs Chisora, Ruiz vs Arreola
I don't think Povetkin should be in the top 10. I know he's got a good resume but he's so absolutely shot. It would be hard to put Del above Pulev who beat him easily, unless they rematched or Del had gotten the nod on Saturday, so the only change I'd make is to remove Povetkin from the rankings and then everybody underneath moves up a place.aicheligad wrote: ↑03 May 2021, 06:53 Current list:

No one in our top 15 has a heavyweight fight booked. Rivas has a bridge weight bout lined up... that’s so grim considering these kinda guys have 10+ week camps if the are fighting a pulse...

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking update - Parker vs Chisora, Ruiz vs Arreola
It's like Kabayel is building himself up to face someone of the level of Chisora, but he beat Chisora 3-4 years ago and has fought subpar opposition since. Not sure what his angle is anymore because he's losing respect for what was a decent win for him. Is it lack of confidence? poor management? or is he going down the staying undefeated until one of the sanctioning bodies is dumb enough to make me mandatory route?aicheligad wrote: ↑07 May 2021, 11:27 And this fight is postponed now, too.
