canelo would've big problems to legit win a single round.

maybe if saunders takes one off to take a breather from off the backfoot jabbing the mexican silly trying to walk him down & peppering canelo senseless from all angles while he attempts to corner the dancing gypsy.

of course the corrupt scoring will falsely show canelo as the winner.

As one of boxing’s big nights for casuals including ufc fans this wasn’t a great night for boxing.

A dive, a trash scorecard, a crazy stoppage and a quit (justified or not)...

Talk is cheap marketing.
It also comes back to bite you on the bum at times.

BJS's was fighting well, getting through with a few jabs and that left uppercut to the body was making Canelo think a bit more.
That was a beautiful slip and counter by Canelo though. I've often thought of him as a bit of a pre-programmed trained robot at times, but he does think on is feet and adjust during the fight. BJS was crouching in low and Canelo timed that move to perfection.

BJS didn’t react that well when Canelo landed on him. Upstairs or downstairs..

Saunders corner stopped the fight.

The head trainer has the power to stop the fight, regardless their fighters wishes.

It’s one of the fundamental rules of boxing that even mainstream casuals know.

You already know that, so why mention Billy Joe’s hyperbole?

Tibbs stopped the fight.

There’s no proof of Saunders demanding the stoppage.

It may or may not have happened, but there’s no proof either way.

All we know for certain (at this point in time) is that Tibbs stopped the fight.

We might subsequently discover that Saunders requested the stoppage, but it’s wrong to initially claim something without proof.

Saunder's didn't object to the stoppage. People are allowed to S%$t on him for his pre-fight comments. Those are the consequences. I thought he showed a fair amount of heart overall and gave us a good fight. I don't think less of him for his pre-fighter banter or the fact the fight was stopped.

EO, you constantly S$%^ on fighters you don't like for their pre-fight comments. Very hypocritical of you.
And yet, by your own admission, you concede that Saunders didn’t tell his head trainer to stop the fight?

So we agree, but you’re attacking me nonetheless?

If I’d HEARD Saunders quit or others in Billy Joe’s corner stated that he had in fact quit, then I would criticise him.

However, we BOTH know for certain that Billy Joe didn’t explicitly tell his corner to end the fight.

And for some reason, you’re accusing me of being a hypocrite, simply because I conveyed real-world factually irrefutable truths that you have already AGREED with? :OhYes:

The head trainer has the power to go against his own fighters wishes and stop the fight!

This is a fact that even merely casual mainstream fans appreciate, so why pretend otherwise?

I was responding to Jimmy.

Billy Joe’s trainer stopped the fight.

There’s no proof of him asking his trainer to stop the fight.

What actually transpired didn’t contradict Billy Joe’s hyperbole, because it was Tibbs that stopped the fight.
