Soto vs. Takayama
Was this the best fight on the card?
Re: Soto vs. Takayama
It was a good watch, if only to remind us what a true champion and Japanese hard nut Taka was.
It did look like two guys that were two weight divisions apart though.

Best fight by far, shame Takayama is 37 got 3 weeks notice and had Laurence Cole being Laurence Cole...
... Glad to see Katsunari getting a big fight on a massive stage, something he long deserved. Well over due. And also happy he's not retiring on the back of that loss. Hopefully he heads back to 105 though

You don't think he can do it at 108?Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 20:07 Best fight by far, shame Takayama is 37 got 3 weeks notice and had Laurence Cole being Laurence Cole...

Not with the current crop there. I can't see him beating Kenshiro, Kyoguchi, Alvarado, Soto or Canizales. He looked so small compared to Soto.Cutman Scabbers wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 20:38You don't think he can do it at 108?Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑09 May 2021, 20:07 Best fight by far, shame Takayama is 37 got 3 weeks notice and had Laurence Cole being Laurence Cole...

Him vs Cuarto or Knockout at 105 would be great imo

Yes, it was the best fight of the night, until Laurence Cole robbed us of seeing a real conclusion.

I was surprised to see that 10-10 first round, as I thought Soto clearly won it.Boxing Prospect wrote: ↑10 May 2021, 04:17I'd assume it was the punch after the bell?
