It was a good watch, if only to remind us what a true champion and Japanese hard nut Taka was.
It did look like two guys that were two weight divisions apart though.

Best fight by far, shame Takayama is 37 got 3 weeks notice and had Laurence Cole being Laurence Cole...

... Glad to see Katsunari getting a big fight on a massive stage, something he long deserved. Well over due. And also happy he's not retiring on the back of that loss. Hopefully he heads back to 105 though

You don't think he can do it at 108?

Not with the current crop there. I can't see him beating Kenshiro, Kyoguchi, Alvarado, Soto or Canizales. He looked so small compared to Soto.

Him vs Cuarto or Knockout at 105 would be great imo

Yeah... made me wonder what actual scores were. Soto was winning handily

apparently many reporters at ringside also had Takayama ahead on points

Yes, it was the best fight of the night, until Laurence Cole robbed us of seeing a real conclusion. :brick:

I'd assume it was the punch after the bell? It sure as fornicate wasn't made clear by Cole

I was surprised to see that 10-10 first round, as I thought Soto clearly won it.
