Mark Tibbs clearly isn't happymaverick23 wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 05:33Davison wasn’t even part of the official corner team though was he? Also he stated the reason BJS was shaking his head in the corner as in response to Davison saying he was stopping the fight. Furthermore BJS wanted to fight on and didn't quit.
Did BS quit against Alverez ?

Re: Did BS quit against Alverez ?
Davison appears to be a 'Johnny come lately' type who inherits top class boxers at their pinnacle and this has thrusted him into the limelight.
I've no doubt Tibbs, much like his father, can take a boxer from their professional debut and make something of them.
If that comment from Davison is true, that most trainers don't know what they're doing, that's very disrespectful to a lot of the trainers on the circuit.

Davison should stick to being a PE teacher or whatever he is.
Or maybe this is just building up the beef for a Tibbs v Davison PPV

Re: Did BS quit against Alverez ?
Davison is talking a lot of shite actually.
Making out in the interview with IFL that it was his decision to retire BS
Saying BS wasn't going to quit at the end of the round, when everything in the 8th round indicated BS had already given up, for all intents and purposes
Then in the same IFL interview bringing up irrelevant sparring stories of BS making top class boxers quit. WTF has this got to with the price of fish ?
Sparring stories count for f-all.
Where's the endless list of opponents who officially quit against BS on his professional record ?

He did, but said he didn't see him until the morning. Clearly didn't want him there. He should never, in a million years, have left Josh, either.handsofstone wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 05:08In the video Tibbs posted he says Davison came over for last weekmickey1975 wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 04:01He said he didn't see him until the morning of the fight.handsofstone wrote: ↑16 May 2021, 03:49 Why the fvck is Brent Davison spending fight week with Saunders when he's meant to be helping Taylor prepare for the biggest fight of his career? Looks a bit amateur hour to me, unless Tibbs wasnt happy with the whole situation leading up to fight night and just gave up with it all when Davison stuck his beak in
Im not a fan of chief seconds not maintaining full control of their corners

Not weird. He shouldn't have been there.
Re: Did BS quit against Alverez ?
The one bit in Tibbs' video release setting the record straight that I'm not sure what to make of yet, is the bit where he says Davison climbed up and got into BS's ear...and then Mark said something like "i said to myself, I'll let him have his 20 seconds"

Re: Did BS quit against Alverez ?
Tibbs said before the fight , he had,nt seen Billy ,, seems like there was definete unrest in that camp ,, what the fooook that PE teacher was there for who knows , its obvious Billy wanted him in the corner ,,, Tibbs probably feels like a right plonker now ,,, he can't come out and say ,. I stopped it because Billy looked scared , he looked like he'd given up , and Canelo had just belted him good and proper ,,, Still think Billy shaking his head was his answer to do you want to go on ,,, Look at it logical , they were applying the endswell so they obviously did'nt think it was broken , they never called the doc to have a look .. and it did'nt really look that bad , it looked like he was closing his eye on purpose,
Still does anyone know if he had a plate in it ,, because from what i've been told , a broken orbital UNDERNEATH the eye meeds a plate to stop the eye from dropping ,,, Course i'm not a doctor and i only say this because i had a broken orbital on the top , and the doc told me , if it was underneath you would need a plate , perhaps theres a doc on this site who can varyify yes or no ..
Basicly what i'm getting at is if he did'nt have a plate put in , it ws'nt what he said

There is no broken orbital bone. It’s a cover up. Even if there was a slight fracture in that area, you don’t bitch out if you’ve sold a fight for 50M on the premise you’ll die in there.

He doesn't have to. He's loaded, because he took the chance with the p4p number one. No danger of him going bankrupt.

Who wouldn’t? It’s all of our dreams to be handed that sort of money for fornicate all. It’s like plucking out any leisure centre fighter from obscurity - like Rocky 1.mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 May 2021, 06:28He doesn't have to. He won’t be able to look himself in the mirror though the rest of his life, and no money is worth that. I pity him.

Any other leisure centre or small hall fighter would’ve given it every damn thing they had. You can be assured that. They are fighting men.

bjs likely to fight again in my view , domestic fights v callum smith and maybe eubank can earn big £££ again
Dont be surprised in the future if they blame tibbs and bjs says he would have fought on ..
Re: Did BS quit against Alverez ?
Doubt , you'll see Tibbs training Saunders for any fight in the future ,,, when Tibbs said BEFORE the fight , billy had'nt shown for training ,, there future was writing on the wall ,,, what boxer does'nt see his trainer with the biggest fight of his life coming up
