Not that I dislike Usyk, but he’s not big enough to compete at heavyweight. He’s also injury prone and struggled badly against a fringe contender, which suggests he may already be past-his-prime.

So Usyk may as well be highly-rewarded for losing to Joshua, before hanging up his gloves to enjoy the fruits of his illustrious career.

The top-ten rated heavyweight rankings has become stale and needs fresh blood.
Got a feeing Usyk would beat Joshua and ruin the big Fury showdown, Joshua hasn't got the best of chins and his stamina is suspect, Usyk could take him in the latter rounds. It's now or never for the Fury vs Joshua showdown I suspect.

AJ will need a fight in the meantime. Who should he have a go at while waiting? It's kinda problematic how few hype producing fights there are out there for AJ. A Ruiz III bout in Mexico city would do wonders but also carry enormous risk.
ENORMOUS risk !
Won't happen. for sure.

Who IS a good stay-busy for AJ if the worst comes to the worst ?

Pricey/Babic/Allen ? Pov/Whyte ?

You may or may not be right, because we’ve seen AJ underperform before.

The thing is, whilst I thought Usyk dominated Chisora on the scorecards, each and every round was really competitive and the Ukraine looked beatable.

He didn’t look that special either against Chazz Witherspoon.

Don’t get me wrong, I realise Usyk’s a really special fighter, but I have a feeling he’s already past-his-prime (too many recent injuries) and competing in a weight class he’s not built for.

If Usyk doesn't get the AJ fight soon, then I fear he'll slip on a banana skin.

Usyk beating Joshua " could take him in the latter rounds "

its frankly ludicrous to me !

I should point out I am a big fan of both fighters and if it happens will of course watch it but AJ will stop him pre 6 - unless he fancies a longer work out before going for the big one .

The idea that AJ is certain to dispatch Usyk in 5 or less is more ridiculous than his idea that Usyk can make a competitive fight for a while.

Don't get me wrong. I don't think Usyk is that special at heavyweight and I had the Chizza fight as a draw but Usyk is very good technically and has a solid chin and the type of fighter that would get to Joshua later on in a fight when Joshua is huffing and puffing, I'd just prefer to see Fury do a more complete job on Joshua and it's more of a big show attraction to sports fans in the UK currently. We could end up with yet another Hatton vs Witter, Brook vs Khan big all UK showdown non-event.

Read the odds are -280 Fury/ +280 Wilder.

I do favor Fury to win but not by that much. Sure, Wilder can't really box, but that punch!

Wilder will be cagey and gun-shy.

He might be tempted to throw the odd haymaker here-and-there, but he'll immediately get his running shoes on (much akin to Usain Bolt) and run for cover. Deontay won't exchange.

Fury will be more patient, though equally dominant, and will force Wilder on the back-foot. Wilder's shots are less effective with all his weight on his heels.

Tyson also has a massive payday resting on the outcome of this fight, which means ‘The Gypsy King’ might take fewer chances and be less reckless and aggressive.

He’ll choose the safest path to victory, even if it results in him looking less impressive than he did in the second fight.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ only has a punchers chance. And his ability to avenge his loss against Fury is weakened by replacing Mark Breland with Malik Scott.

I have a funny feeling that the third Fury-Wilder fight might go to the scorecards, but if Deontay’s pitifully thin flamingo legs start wobbling again, then expect Tyson to close the show by unleashing a relentless barrage of straights to force the stoppage.

AJ 9-5 over USYK---WILLIAM HILL---MIKE TYSON 42-1 over BUSTER DOUGLAS---DOUGLAS KO 10---AJ is NOT a LOCK over USYK---should be an excellent fight.

Fury will destroy the big dosser in the same fashion. If this mismatch happens now instead of Fury-Joshua, hopefully The Gypsy King mangles Wilder so hard, that Deontay spends all earned money on doctors.

why too wide when fury 60-52'd him in their last fight and is yet to lose to him in 2 meetings?

2.5 is hardly huge or anything like that
