Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - 24 July 2021
I've always said that Wilder has the physical tools to rule, but doubted his confidence and saw it as his potential downfall. He can't improve his boxing, nor probably his self-belief, but should I be wrong and he comes out swinging...
I think his best bet is to treat it as a six-rounder, pulling out with a fake injury if he gasses before getting to Fury. Not saying I approve of that, but he's not winning over 12 without knockdowns.
Fury has an interesting history of intimidating opponents. There were injury rumours before Chisora's first crack, but he turned up fat and unusually quiet. I don't think Wlad was particularly scared, but their fight was a no-score draw and he was used to favourable judging. And then we saw how it affected Wilder when Fury got to him at the end of their first fight, giving Fury a big confidence boost ahead of their rematch.
Fury recently said that Haye's arse fell out when he saw Fury's size, but Dave wasn't the one in shades. I actually think Haye was his first big opponent who wasn't visibly shook, and that put doubts in his mind. Haye had experience of being outsized against Wlad (in his prime) and Valuev (okay, way less skilled than Fury). That said, I do credit Fury with ending Haye's career, because I'm sure Haye recognised it was all uphill if he couldn't finish it early, and with that in mind overtrained (his frame not liking the heavyweight power he packed on), causing a major injury he never recovered from.
When Wlad seemed a lot more energised for their rematch, Fury was gone. I am interested to find out if AJ's frightened of him, because for me that's the key to their fight, and I think he'll stop Fury if he isn't. A lot of people put the Wallin performance down to poor shape — and to an extent, sure — but my take was that Wallin was less scared than most until he tired. He was negative later on, yeah. Very reasonably.
Which is why, in the minority, I'd give Joyce a great chance of beating Fury. Wouldn't be afraid of him, and he's big enough to not get pushed around. Unless Fury landed the best punch of his life, Joe's chin can take his power, and he'd keep coming.

Ok, can't wait now to see The Gypsy King smashing Wilder again, even in a more brutal fashion, for all sissy excuses of the big dosser and his act of disruption of the undisputed HW championship bout. Wilder gotta end up crippled. The Gypsy King, punish the big dosser once and for all.

Certainly won’t watch this, I’ll check the result on boxrec about 8am after the fight.
Wilder doesn’t deserve a rematch this time, guaranteed after the draw yes, think this is another case why people are falling out with boxing all the politics and rematch clauses.
You lose you lose, you get back in the ring and work your way back up and earn the shot, so Wilder will get another pay day and the up and comers will have to wait or never get there shot or pay day, fackin’sucks !!!!!!!

you're the expert, you tell me ? despite Wilders obvious flaws,i'm pretty sure the vast majority of posters here on the Brit and Irish forum will agree Wilder is a big puncherGreenLightning wrote: ↑23 May 2021, 12:58Nzme a semi durable prime fighter he has KO'd flat coldbigjack wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 13:27Ok he clearly can't ko anyone decent,i'll take it all backGreenLightning wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 12:45

Wilder’s power is freight train like; you see it coming but it doesn’t matter if you are on the tracks. He does not hit people with stuff they can’t see.GreenLightning wrote: ↑23 May 2021, 12:58Nzme a semi durable prime fighter he has KO'd flat coldbigjack wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 13:27Ok he clearly can't ko anyone decent,i'll take it all backGreenLightning wrote: ↑22 May 2021, 12:45

A positive for Fury in this fight is that Wilder has also not fought since he lost to Fury.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. Deontay Wilder III - 24 July 2021
Big John Fury’s just done an interview on BT’s YouTube. I was expecting him to be laying the boot in to Eddie as FW has done (shouldn’t have been announcing anything, knew there was an arbitration, had problems with Usyk) but he pretty much backed up everything Eddie has said and was very critical about Tyson’s team.
Said...
- they had the ability to cancel the Wilder deal in December but didn’t
- he was repeatedly told the arbitration wasn’t an issue
- said how unprofessional it was rushing a contract in front of Tyson backstage at the Taylor fight
- said he’s surrounded by yes men and should just bin the WBC belt and fight AJ
John can talk a lot of rubbish but he was visibly pissed off about this and seemed worried for Tyson.

Wilder has no chance.
As Fury said himself, he is 270 lbs of inside fightingness

John was saying that he’s concerned with Tyson talking his eye off the ball. The fight’s supposedly 8 weeks away, Tyson’s been partying and flying all over the place whilst Deontay looks as though he’s been training hard. Stranger things have happened.forcefraser wrote: ↑28 May 2021, 13:54 Wilder has no chance.

Wilder probably hasn't ballooned in weight either,Tyson could well walk through him but he was on the deck twice and it certainly could happen again.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑25 May 2021, 07:09 A positive for Fury in this fight is that Wilder has also not fought since he lost to Fury.

I've said all along its worrying. Wife and kids there, no Big Shane, Andy Lee, his right hand man bloke, s&c guy, nutritionist and haven't even seen Sugar Hill there for a bit. Plus, ge doesn't train in Miami.

I would be too.
Tyson was set to apparently make $75 million for the first AJ fight and then depending if he won lost or drew a possible similar amount for the second. He ain’t making that for the Wilder fight and if he or AJ lose then it’s Asta la vista $75 million.
In most walks of life if you piss that much money up the wall you’d never live it down.

Na, no not this time, fvck that, ive been burned twice already
As for Wilder, apart from the pathetic excuses i do like the fact that he's been fairly low key but binning Breland and bringing in a novice coach who took a dive against you doesnt seem the correct approach , he needs a bit of schooling, he's not gonna change too much at his age but some technical aspects definitely need worked on, is Malik Scott worth the risk at this stage??

well, then if he loses to wilder, he can use those as excuses while aj and wilder fight for the top spotmickey1975 wrote: ↑28 May 2021, 15:02 I've said all along its worrying. I’ve never heard him slate his promotional team before. Just Ben Davison and by the way he fought against Wilder in the rematch he was vindicated.

It legally has to go ahead now, may as well get into it.
Two massive HWs, both been champions, going for it...

While i agree with Partridge, his nose is only out of joint because Tyson never took his advice and he's feeling pushed aside, im sure we'll find out more when he starts his tour, he's pissed and using Fast Car to batter Uncle Bob and Co
