He had/is having a management dispute with Dillian. Still surprised it’s caused him to be out of the ring so much.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑03 Jul 2021, 20:29 all these cruisers around with momentum and titles......tommy mac, billam smith

Why be managed by another active boxer.maverick23 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 02:38He had/is having a management dispute with Dillian. exposure. You have someone people respect to talk you up, it puts you in with there promotional unit, basicaly garrentees you being on 2 big cards a year (you need to make sure they can find you inbetween cards though). If your the same weight or simular you can pick up some of there sparring dregs ect.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 06:09Why be managed by another active boxer.maverick23 wrote: ↑04 Jul 2021, 02:38He had/is having a management dispute with Dillian. I think its gone great for babic and wardly so far. Okoli was/is managed by AJ wasnt he? no doubt the fighters are mainly a figure head for a % but it can be effective.

Yeh, but Whyte? He may manage his own career well, but doesn't mean he has others best interest.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 06:51 ya, any time rick or wardley fights its constant 'dillan whyte managed __' ... search up 'whyte wardley ' etc and theres loads of vids/articels for 'whyte protege fabio wardley.... for some reason its selling point
Even Bellew manages boxers, but h's a retired boxer, he can focus on them.
Why not approach 258 instead..

Whyte hasn’t done a bad job, that I know of, with any of the fighters he’s involved with as he’s delivered them chances. Wardley’s been fighting regular, Babic would likely be unknown if it wasn’t for Whyte, and it really helped Riakporhe until things seemingly soured.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 06:53Yeh, but Whyte? No idea. Probably money in these kind of things.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 07:20What's the beef then? percentage?maverick23 wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 07:09Whyte hasn’t done a bad job, that I know of, with any of the fighters he’s involved with as he’s delivered them chances. He’s been out for 18 months. Last beat Massey in December 19 so he needs to find a way back as he’s already lost loads of momentum. He stopped McCarthy and beat CBS and now nothing whilst they’re having a fairly big fight.

A poor show from Whyte when he's holding a young mans career back.
Especially when he's been so vocal about how much of a cut throat sport boxing is and played the victim role with his mandatory position.

disputes are always to do money. well 99% of the time. He needs a warm up and fight the CBS - McCarthy winner

Re: what the hell happened to riakporhe?
I think I read somewhere that Whyte managed to cut a deal with Eddie for Raiakpore to fight Okolie, and he was pissed when Richard turned it down. Since then it’s all gone quiet for him.

Inactivity would be the point for me .high tower 1 wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 12:26What’s the point. He’s already splattered the pit of them. He should be pushing on now.
Re: what the hell happened to riakporhe?
RR still with Tibbs ?? Might have been some beef following Whyte leaving Tibbs ?

Would expect CBS to winrd350lc wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 15:53Inactivity would be the point for me .high tower 1 wrote: ↑05 Jul 2021, 12:26What’s the point. He’s already splattered the pit of them. He should be pushing on now.
Re: what the hell happened to riakporhe?
It’s ridiculous if he’s fallen out with him over refusing to fight Okolie. Dillian himself has turned down Pulev, Ortiz & a Joshua rematch to plot a ‘better’ route for himself.
I imagine it’s over money. He’ll have wanted his cut from the Okolie fight but he didn’t take it.

Heard Dillian having a verbal dig at him on a well known podcast a few months ago, as regards him turning down a title shot.Pot/Kettle came to mind……

Fair play to him for standing his ground if so.therealhustle wrote: ↑10 Jul 2021, 02:09 Heard Dillian having a verbal dig at him on a well known podcast a few months ago, as regards him turning down a title shot.Pot/Kettle came to mind……
