The robbery in GGG Canelo 1 was Byrd scoring it 118-110.
The robbery was that he didn't win. Though that was beyond egregious.
I remember having GGG winning but only by round or maybe two and a lot were close.

Certainly seen worse decisions.
I have too, I was responding to someone who seems to think he's gotten one gift after the other.

Ahhhh - agree with you thats bullshit.

We’re currently in a place where boxing is really lacking superstars, and many that appear to have the potential will fight once a year or promoters don’t make them the fights that will elevate them.

Canelo will have his fourth fight in 10 months and 3 of his 4 opponents have been undefeated.

I don't know what the details are but Canelo is likely contractually obliged to take this bout.

Then what ?
Who is Canelo calling out and why can't that fight happen ?
If he's not contractually obliged it's just a filler in bout until he get's a name opponent surely.

He wants to unify. Can you even verbalize a scenario where he would be under contract to fight a pbc guy with a belt?

World championship belts or a set of postage stamps. If you're a serious collector you want to complete the set. Of course Canelo would want to fight Plant. That wraps up Super-middleweight nicely. Job done. On to the next project.

Yes it was an odd answer you're correct.
Guess I'm jumping the gun a bit and looking for the most serious challenge rather than going through the motions of capturing belts and cementing legacy.
That is important.
All the leaders of their perspective divisions go through this type of scrutiny.
Canelo being our number 1 goes through more, it comes with the territory which comes with the respect :box:

My main reason is because no one wants to see him fight Plant.
Strap on the line or not it's not an attractive bout.
I guess I'm asking myself is he being forced into it somehow.

I'd say the logical next step is an assault on the light-heavyweight division. People will have differing ideas about who is Canelo's biggest threat at that weight. I'd say probably Beterbiev provided the inevitable march of time hasn't caught up with him.

Yes but it's possible he's begun his decline. The cynic in me says that makes the fight more likely, but that's being disrespectful to a fighter that doesn't deserve any of that.

I'm curious how Plant became an elite world class boxer like he says, when he only had 20 amateur fights against other very average amateurs, and lost just over half of them, turning pro in 2014? Good trainer?

Part of the problem mate is that you seem not to have the first clue what it is youre talking about.

So lets go through some simple steps that would lead to someone becoming a champion:

Step#1: start boxing at 8

Step#2: become an amateur champion twice in two seperate divisions with a record of 97-20 (GET YOUR FACTS IN ORDER).

Step#3: turn pro and compile a record of 21-0 against opponents with winning records to include 2 previous champions (Truax + Uzcategui)

Guess I was looking at the wrong guy?
