Considering Eddie Hearn has been making so many hints that this is the just such a "stacked" few weeks -and the obviously staged responses where Eddie has been showing Kugan the notes and the reaction has been "oh my god, no way - that's brilliant" - I am left slightly uninspired by the whole thing..... if you count the PPV card also - I think last years fight camp was probably better. Galahad vs Dickens is obviously the eye catching fight - but rest is a bit meh.

We're in more of a transitional phase in British Boxing.

Most boxers retired over the past few years and some hardly box.

We have more prospects/borderline Bitish/Euro level guys at the moment, shame most are being found out early, due to matchmaking.

As per Hearn, Benn will challenge for a world title byb the end of 2022. So expect him to be matched like this til then.

not going to disagree, although adrian who may be young, is shopworn as fck and so is old in boxing years, which is a shame because i cant see him winning. benn probably gets another nice performance and inflates his rep.

It’s a typical Benn opponent. Been in with a few good names and put up a decent fight years ago, now obviously past it so Benn will probably beat them quicker and can turn round and say ‘nobodies done that to him before’.

ahh of course 'hes never been stopped before' - most boxing fans have a really poor understanding of boxing, so they are easy to 'jedi mind trick' which is why u get so many fights that are predictable in their outcomes by those people who have a decent understanding of the sport.

Adrain is rugged and against imam looked great, but danny garcia completely shut him down, the thinking is that hes shot, and hes ripe for benn.

Yes, I think some of the prospects are being matched too slow...not just Hearn but others.

Traditionally "great " boxers usually make the transition between turning pro and a world title in an Olympic cycle....this should especially the case with so many amateurs way more experienced than in days gone by. So the following should really kicking on now..and I would say their state of progress is slow.

Joe Joyce....its shouldn't have been Dubois , it should have been a world champion.

General Sale tickets for the three Fight Camp events taking place at the Matchroom HQ in Brentwood, Essex headlined by Conor Benn vs. Adrian Granados on Saturday July 31, Kid Galahad vs. Jazza Dickens on Saturday August 7 and Joshua Buatsi vs. Richard Bolotniks on Saturday August 14 will be available to purchase at 10am on Friday July 2.

Matchroom Fight Pass members will be able to purchase tickets via Matchroom Boxing (www.matchroomboxing.com) from 10am on Thursday July 1.

All tickets are priced at £750 per show (plus booking fee) and include transportation to and from the venue (shuttle service from the Brentwood Centre) and festival style hospitality (complimentary food and beverages) throughout the night. This is another step up of sorts for Benn, not like Ortiz going in against Kavalauskis but I'd guess Granados has more left than Vargas although I don't think I've seen him since Garcia stopped him so who knows? If Benn can do a number on him then it's a small statement I suppose, I've no doubt Benn wins, probably by stoppage

Dickens Galahad and McCarthy Bilam Smith are the only 2 interesting fights on the 3 cards for me and they're hardly revolutionary.

Former amateur star Sandy Ryan is promising to make a big statement on her introduction to the paid ranks this Saturday at Matchroom Fight Camp in Brentwood, Essex by becoming the first person to stop Kirstie Bavington, live on Before The Bell.

The 27-year-old Derby boxer, who claimed gold at the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games and silver at the 2014 World Championships, had been one of Team GB’s leading medal hopes for the rescheduled Tokyo Games before deciding to turn professional with STN Sports in March.

Following a glittering amateur career, Ryan will start life in the pro ranks campaigning at Super-Lightweight with trainer Clifton Mitchell, and the Midlands talent is ready to target World Titles with an ultimate ambition of fighting at the home of her beloved Derby County Football Club.

“To be successful and one of the best female fighters in the world is my goal,” said Ryan. “I’ve got the right team around me and I believe I can achieve that. I was going to turn pro after the Olympics but when they were postponed, I took the decision to turn over. I feel like it’s the right time and I’m ready to go all the way.

“I was on the GB squad for nine years. I went to every major tournament besides the Olympic Games. I went to the World Championships and won a silver medal, European bronze, European Games bronze and Commonwealth Games gold medal. All this experience will help me massively in the pro game.

“Each day that passes I get more and more excited. I can’t wait for my debut, every day I visualise my ring walk, getting in the ring and smoking the girl.

Conor Benn has tested positive for COVID and so been ruled out of his fight with Adrian Granados on Saturday night.

The young British contender was set to headline the launch of promoter Eddie Hearn’s new UK partnership with DAZN, which has coincided with the return of Fight Camp in the Matchroom HQ back garden.

BREAKING: Conor Benn has tested positive for COVID-19 and is out of Saturday’s Fight Camp main event vs. Adrian Granados. New date to be announced shortly.

The Xu Can vs. Leigh Wood world title fight will now headline Fight Camp 1.

However, he has been forced off the card with Can Xu vs Leigh Wood now set to headline.

Benn said in a statement: “Dear all of my supporters and fans that bought tickets to my fight, it breaks my heart to tell you unfortunately I won’t be competing this Saturday as I have tested positive for Covid-19.

“I have made sure during this camp that we have taken the correct precautions and abided by the highest health and safety measures to avoid this unfortunate circumstance but with the virus still being extremely active this is out of my control.

“I will be working with my management team, Matchroom Boxing and liaising with Granados to work towards a new date.

“It’s imperative that I get back to full health, isolate and stay safe during this period as I aim to be competing again in the very near future.

“I will keep you all updated as much as I can.

“Finally my sincerest apologies to everyone who worked hard to put this event together and Adrian who recently flew over to the UK to put on a good fight… soon come.”
