Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
The punch stats are hilarious, in such an inactive fight. Most don't know how much better the viewing is on TV compared to ringside. You hear one of those wilder rights crack fury's gloves and think it landed while Tyson flicked a couple jabs it's an easy flip

So you have an issue with a ref giving a fighter the capability to recover, when he did, as opposed to calling it off?Bandog wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:39 Never in my lifetime have I seen a ref begin to count when a boxer is lying flat on his back after getting floored a second time with his eyes closed. 1st fight should have been called a KO.
2nd fight, major damage done by an accidental but very obvious rabbit punch. Whatever, it was a good win for Fury. Shit happens.
If Fury would have aknowledged the rematch clause, we would already be done with the 3rd Wilder fight and Joshua. That's on him and his incompetant team.

Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
he's just butthurt that fury beat the count, obviously it's LOL to want the ref to stop it right away even when you know the guy got up
Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
As an American I think he's both an interesting fighter and personality. I prefer him telling David Haye to go fvck his Mother to his Jesus bit, but that's just me. Other than a horrendously dull Wlad fight I think he's been quite entertaining. I never thought he'd come back the way he did.

What about the punch Wilder landed in round nine of the first fight. Do you consider that a rabbit punch?Bandog wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:39 Never in my lifetime have I seen a ref begin to count when a boxer is lying flat on his back after getting floored a second time with his eyes closed. 1st fight should have been called a KO.

I had Wilder winning comfortably. I don’t keep a diary of my scoring, but I am sure it is on here since I do score most big fights real-time on the forum for everyone to see.panchito wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 20:34![]()

Q: What rounds besides 7, 9, and 12 are you giving to Wilder?
A: Crickets....

That was and is my view of it.
Almost every round was close and I saw Wilder winning the majority plus two KDs.
Resume your witless insults, puncheeto.

Have you rewatched/rescored it? Yes we all know scoring is subjective but you’re subjectively wrong lol.ironbeard wrote: ↑19 Aug 2021, 02:01I had Wilder winning comfortably. Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
he must've rewatched since on the night he had 116-110 and said no way fury won (see above), but now says it was close and couldve gone either way
Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
It's ridiculous to suggest that Wilder won the first fight on points. He was totally outboxed. Fury won every round or almost every round where he remained on his feet throughout.
Now if you want to say that Fury should have lost by knockout because most refs in Jack Reiss' situation would never have given him a chance to get up, then that would be fair comment, and it's for that reason that I felt a draw was probably a fair result (even if a draw was never possible on cards that were objectively scored).
When a 100% fit and firing Fury got his hands on Wilder we saw the gulf in class so arguments about the first fight are largely academic now, but when you have two champions, I consider the real one to be the one who genuinely wants the unification, not the one who looked delighted that their showdown fell apart and made zero effort to save it.

Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
Why people are so much talking about Wilder so important !!! .... Fury winning against wilder for 3rd time doesn't do much for his career .
Fury needs to fights actively with top 10 fighters in his era. Because all top 10 fighters are about same level, and there is no one that really stands out.

Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
I think he is pretty great. And im not english. Saying that he is ducking anybody is just nonsense. He fought Wilder very early after his comeback put up a good fight and despite being konocked down twice he wasnt scared the second time either. And stylistically he can beat AJ absolutely I dont get the hate against fury the boxer.
Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
Yes, I watched it again. Yes I score most big fights real-time, on this forum. But I don’t bother searching back.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:42close fight, either way, etc..........did you rewatch it and see it differently?ironbeard wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:32It is not a popularity contest. Fury is lucky he got out of the ring with a draw.
The ONLY math that matters is
115-111 Wilder
113-113
114-112 Fury
I agree with 115-111 Wilder, and acknowledge that it was a close fight that could have gone either way.
Fury has only himself to blame, same as Rigo last Saturday.
"Rd 12 = good night irene. Another Kd. Sick the eff down. No the fvck way Fury won this.
10-8 Wilder
116-110 Wilder""
What I DO know is on the night, during the fight, the people actually posting had it far closer than those who were watching it casually while getting fornicated up.
I to this day feel Wilder won that fight. It was not the first time I have scored opposite of the consensus opinion. It will not be the last.
This was nowhere near a 3G v Canelo 1 travesty. It was nowhere near a Fox v Maestre obviously corrupt decision.
It was a close fight that could have gone either way. Fury did 0 damage to Wilder on the night. If it had been an amateur fight, I might have scored it a draw. It was not.
Consensus is generally but not always correct. That is why we are ruled by law and not a pure democracy.
What is pathetic is the continued whining and howling on the part of Fury Nutnits.
Re: Poll : Does Tyson Fury career bores you to death ?
In that scenario yes.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:57So you have an issue with a ref giving a fighter the capability to recover, when he did, as opposed to calling it off?Bandog wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:39 Never in my lifetime have I seen a ref begin to count when a boxer is lying flat on his back after getting floored a second time with his eyes closed. 1st fight should have been called a KO.

Sure, if they're conscious. I'd just never seen anything like it. 99 out of 100 refs would have waved it off. I also think Wilder should have been stopped in one of the Ortiz fights, basically out on his feet. In Fury 2, recovery time should have been allowed for the blow to the back of the head although accidental. It was downhill after that. Just my opinion. Wilder deserved to lose though, not letting his hands go.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:57So you have an issue with a ref giving a fighter the capability to recover, when he did, as opposed to calling it off?Bandog wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:39 Never in my lifetime have I seen a ref begin to count when a boxer is lying flat on his back after getting floored a second time with his eyes closed. 1st fight should have been called a KO.

Would you call it a definitive ass whipping if Wilder KOs Fury this time? I have a feeling he will.Onetimeonly wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 19:07One of the most definitive ass whippings in boxing rematch history.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑18 Aug 2021, 18:48 anyway, they ran it back again and fury whooped his arse

Wilder reminds me a bit of Max Baer, as far as his mental prep, do we get the clown or the killer?
