too sad that usyk's gonna teach joahua aboxing lesson and enable that genial masterplan of the crossdressing evil empire.
I favour Joshua to prevail but it's going to be no shock if Usyk does. It's a highly competitive fight and the worst part is Joshua won't be given his due if he does retain his belts.
Many people write Usyk off as being too small but at 6' 3" he's no midget, in fact he's about the same size as Muhammad Ali and just as dominant at the weight.
Would a prime Muhammad Ali be an easy fight for Joshua because he's not big enough to compete?
Difference is Ali was lightning quick, and had an unbelievable chin and ability to survive when hurt.
Usky will need to fight the perfect fight to win, as he lacks firepower at heavyweight.
Well let's not get into a discussion about the relative merits of Ali and Usyk. Comparing current fighters with a past legend who has attained Godlike or at least GOATlile status is never going to be objective.
Suffice to say they are two undisputed champions of similar physical stature, each very difficult to hit, mainly due to speed in Ali's case and techique in Usyk's (though neither lacking either of those qualities), both having pretty solid whiskers and both lacking ons shot destructive power but often getting an early night due to cumulative effect.
No, the main point was that Ali would be up against the same handicap against Joshua but I doubt anyone would dismiss Ali as being too small. Both have outboxed opponents of Joshua's dimensions but both Joe Joyce and Ernie Terrell lack Joshua's handspeed or ferocious combination punching.
It should be one helluva fight. May the best man win. Whoever does will be a real champion which is not a label I could honestly ascribe to either of the gentlemen who will hopefully be contesting the WBC title next month.
