The event, shown live worldwide on DAZN, will continue as planned with Chantelle Cameron’s (14-0, 8 KOs) WBC, IBF and Ring Magazine Super-Lightweight Unification clash with the USA’s Mary McGee (27-3, 15 KOs) now topping the bill.

Elsewhere on the card, ‘The Savage’ Alen Babic (8-0, 8 KOs) clashes with two-time World Title challenger Eric Molina (28-7, 20 KOs) over eight rounds, Craig Richards (16-2-1, 9 KOs) returns to the ring against Poland’s Marek Matyja (20-2-2, 9 KOs) after pushing WBA Light-Heavyweight World Champion Dmitry Bivol all the way in May, Youssef Khoumari (13-0-1, 5 KOs) takes on Jorge David Castaneda (14-1, 11 KOs) for the vacant WBC International Silver Super-Featherweight Title, ‘The Romford Bull’ Johnny Fisher (3-0, 3 KOs) faces Spain’s Alvaro Terrero (5-13-2, 3 KOs) in front of over 1,000 of his fans, Catford Super-Bantamweight Ellie Scotney (2-0) squares off against Eva Cantos (2-1) in her first fight with new trainer Shane McGuigan, Manchester Cruiserweight Jordan Thompson (10-0, 8 KOs) makes his Matchroom debut against Poland’s Piotr Podlucki (6-5, 2 KOs), Takeley Light-Heavyweight prospect John Hedges (3-0) meets Antony Woolery (2-7) over four rounds and Dublin Heavyweight Thomas Carty (1-0) has his second professional fight.

Hearn is having a nightmare lately.

Saunders gets turned into a laughing stock, Canelo dumps him, AJ exposed by Usyk, massively overpaid Garcia gets beat by Euro dude, his American domination is barely alive and now as the final insult his "massive" show has collapsed and a women's fight that no one cares about is topping the bill

This from hearn who was gonna put on 12 PPV worthy fights a year on DAZN and 4 absolute mega busters where every fight on the card would be PPV worthy in its own right.

The guy has not delivered. His product is no longer up to scratch.

I can see the guy packing it in soon. He got greedy with the US thing, failed and took his eye off the ball

He’s lucky that Frank/Boxxer (albeit they’ve only had a couple of shows) have been so poor this year.

I don’t remember one really good show this year from Frank. We had a couple of good fights (Sunny Edwards winning the world title and Cash/Bentley) but, despite Eddie really struggling in the last couple of weeks, I’d say all of the top 7/8 boxing shows in the U.K. this year have been from Matchroom.

Their line up for the rest of the year is really poor and I think they’ll need to act by putting another show on in November/December. They don’t have many shows but the quality of the O2 and Sheffield shows are poor (albeit I’d say there are more competitive fights on the O2 show than the recent Boxxer show).

I understand they’ve changed their business model in the US. It was never going to work having 12 ppv shows on DAZN in the US with 4 monsters but it’s been a couple of years since he said that. They’ll look to get Canelo back on DAZN if he beats Plant but they’ve got Lopez/Kambosos, the average Andrade show and hopefully Haney/Diaz still to come this year so I’m still a fair way off from cancelling.

This is him making an intelligent business decision in my opinion. If he's smart here he's got two PPV stadium fights next year now with AJ-Usyk 2 and Fury-Whyte. As much as they butt heads, if Tyson wants a stadium homecoming (and I think we as UK fans deserve him having a big fight here as much as he does) then he needs Hearn: That's Hearn's bread and butter, and they'd be stupid not to work with him on this one. Fish eyes can't sell out a stadium. Hearn can. He can give them Whyte and the casuals and a guaranteed sell out. As much as I feel bad for the people who bought tickets for the Wallin fight, from a business and fan perspective it all makes perfect sense. How many people really want to see Whyte-Wallin? I've never really cared for it, even though it was a very well matched fight. It wasn't a BIG fight. Fury-Whyte in the UK should be massive.

Eddie taking a hit on this to make that is more than worth it for him is the horrible reality. I bet they were in negotiations as soon as Whyte was made mandatory. There's a f*ck ton of money to be made here.

I broadly agree with most of the points about Matchroom - apart from the Liverpool card the game has resolutely not been changed in the slightest.

However, I'm glad that the card is going ahead. Yes, it will seem a bit lost in the massive, half-empty O2, but least the undercard fighters get their opportunity and we get to see some boxing.

One of my first thoughts when Whyte developed his "injury" was how this would impact all the other fighters on the card, because normally this would result in the whole show being pulled (see Sunny Edwards' in September).

Fury sells anywhere out now. His profile has gone through the roof since last time he boxed here. I've seen hundreds of casuals saying how much they love him, some in Gypsy King hats.... They loved AJ a few years ago. He's crossed over.

Yep - agree; Tyson is without doubt the fan favourite.
The AJ product has turned quite sour in the last year or so - his racist posts etc is quite often mentioned; and of course the loss to Usyk had the fickle casuals dropping him ASAP.

Fury could sell out a stadium now even without an undercard.

I am surprised that Fwank hasn`t made a move now Eddie has seemingly backed himself into a corner; then again - did Fwank burn his bridges previously?

I’m not sure if Frank would be able to get it on in the U.K. If he can get £20m for Fury as an example, I’m sure Bob will think he can more with Fury fighting in the US.

Eddie may well look to take it to purse bids and get it in Saudi.

People on here know that Whyte/Fury will not happen? Fury don’t be fighting until next September… if at all… and a Whyte mando fight won’t be of interest to him. If he does fight again it’ll be Usyk or Joshua.
Anyone who thinks he will turn into an active world champion at 33 doesn’t know Tyson’s mentality.
Whyte more likely to be fighting Wallin/Helenius for the vacant belt in the 02 in March.
He’s not getting that pay day he hopes for.

With all the nonsense these days and the parties involved it's actually difficult to imagine Fury-Whyte happening

If DAZN bought BT could make an impact too. Depends on Arum also.

I could definitely imagine Fury disappearing for 12-18 months and then facing the Joshua v Usyk winner.

A shame about Whyte’s withdrawal. Few believe it’s a genuine injury. Whyte does best when active, sharpening his skills & building momentum.

That said I’d love to see Fury & Whyte just get on with it, especially as Whyte has faced more contenders and fringe contenders than most at heavyweight.

I had tickets for Fury vs Wlad 2, Fury v Haye, Haye v Charr and Joyce v Dubois, all of which were postponed and then cancelled or postponed and then took place with no crowd. Apart from Haye-Charr, that's a really disappointing few fights to have almost been at. What are common denominators for them? Well, take Joyce-Dubois out of it, and the other three never happened. They either had Fury or Haye involved, two fighters notoriously happy to reschedule or pull out, and all three were in Manchester.

I remember getting tickets to Fury Chisora in Manchester. Which then turned into Fury Ustinov. I had flown over to Manchester and was in accommodation when Fury Ustinov was cancelled on the day of the fight if I recall correctly.

Was sickened. The show went ahead in a mostly empty MEN arena headlined by Billy Joe Saunders Vs Blandaruma.

The highlight was drinking with Liam Williams fans from Wales beforehand. They kicked off bigtime in the arena and I think police batons were taken out and they were getting a smacking by coppers.

It did, but nobody bought tickets for it apart from me and maybe 10 other people.

When people sound off about the state of heavyweight boxing now, I think they need reminding about the era that preceded it.

Fury sells anywhere out now. His profile has gone through the roof since last time he boxed here. I've seen hundreds of casuals saying how much they love him, some in Gypsy King hats.... They loved AJ a few years ago. He's crossed over.
Spot on - the reaction amongst my friends and colleagues in the last couple of weeks has been very telling.

Tyson Fury is absolute #1 - wouldn't be surprised to see him Top 3 in SPOTY as well.

Let's not forget the huge ticket sales for Fury's return shows - he would do Wembley easy without Hearn.
