Even for the same money, wanting the Whyte fight for a chace to take his mandatory status is a no brainer. Besides, Whyte is a semi-shot gatekeeper that ran from an eliminator ordered by the WBC...2 actually.
idiotic post
Old shot Povetkin KOd him ffs. Whytes biggest claim to fame is beating AJ in the amateurs. Decent resume, but among a weak and aged heavyweight opposition.
Dillian Whyte won his title eliminator in 2016. WBC have been black balling him ever since.

DEC 2016: Whyte v Chisora 1 is an eliminator for the WBC title. – Whyte wins

DEC 2016: Stiverne and Povetkin are due to fight for Interim Title (+ the chance to become Wilder’s first mandatory). First Stiverne and then Povetkin fail drug tests.

So… ENTERING 2017
We have Whyte on track to challenge for the WBC title having won an eliminator. Wilder (PBC) hasn’t faced a mandatory in his first two years as Champion. Povetkin has failed a drug test. Stiverne has failed a drug test. Molina has failed a UKAD drug test, but the information is yet to be published.

FEBRUARY 2017: WBC install Stiverne as Wilder’s mandatory challenger, ignoring his failed drug test, and not requiring him to fight a WBC final eliminator. Note Whyte won a WBC title eliminator in 2016.

AUGUST 2017: Stiverne (WBC#1), the WBC interim belt holder and mandatory challenger, announces that he will make an interim title defence against Breazeale (WBC #11) on the undercard of Wilder v Ortiz.
NOTE: Breazeale (WBC#11 following his win against Ugonoh) was drafted in as a guy for Stiverne to beat in a tune-up fight after Stiverne was forced to step aside for Luis Ortiz by the WBC. Remember Whyte (WBC#4) had already won his title eliminator 8 months earlier. The WBC will now start nudging up Breazeale’s ranking month by month.

Stiverne (Don King), who has not fought in 2 years, will now be elevated to be Wilder’s mandatory challenger.

OCTOBER 2017: Instead of Breazeale (PBC) fighting Whyte on the undercard, the WBC allows Breazeale to choose his opponent for his title eliminator. Breazeale chooses Eric Molina (PBC)! The same Eric Molina (PBC) who is now serving a UKAD ban. *** remember this, it will be important later.

OCT2017: Breazeale (WBC#6) v Molina (WBC#12) press release has this as a Final Eliminator. The media are shocked by this, questioning the WBC. Note Breazeale, month by month has been nudged up from WBC #11 to #6. lol
The WBC change their website from “final eliminator” to “eliminator” following the backlash.

So end of 2017… we have Dillian Whyte who has won a WBC title eliminator and Dominic Breazeale who has won a WBC title eliminator. Everyone is now expecting Whyte v Breazeale as a final eliminator to become Wilder’s mandatory challenger.

March 2019, WBC rewrite history and claim Breazeale fought Molina in a Final Eliminator bout, and make him the Mandatory challenger to fight Deontay Wilder.

who had fury, wilder, ruiz, parker, aj, martin, stiverne beaten when they got their shots? what about their challengers like gerald washignton, eric molina, raz cojanu, hughie fury, szpilka, etc? any of them put together wins over parker, povetkin, helenius, rivas, chisora 2x?

whytes obviously earned a shot, compare him to the other challengers there have been and hes done far more than most of them, and more than the champs did prior to their initial title challenges. not really the guy ppl should have problems with getting a shot

Wbc this and wbc that, if Fury doesn't want the fight then it will never happen and I for one hope that it doesn't.
I make no apology for that. It's no accident that I'm a fan of Dillian Whyte. He has made me a fan by his exciting performances agaist fighters that many others would prefer not to fight. He's a risk taker, he'll fight anyone. Isn't that what we fans of Boxing say we want?

I dislike injustice and he's been denied his chance for years while others who have fought nobody get given title shots ahead of him. He has fought a succession of rated fighters, beating every one of them, and losing only to Joshua and Povetkin. I make no claims that he is the best in the world, I don't think that all, but he has earned the chance to compete for the title. If cementing that opportunity means cancelling his final "fight another rated opponent while I'm waiting" fight, then why would anyone (but team Wallin) begrudge him that?

I know why you would, you're a hater (the clue's in the name FFS), Bandog is a myopic obsessive who can't see that he holds fighters like Dillian Whyte to a standard of behaviour he would never dream of expecting from his boy Luis Ortiz. Most other fans may not feel as strongly as I do but if they are genuine fans of the sport they respect Dillian Whyte as a warrior and agree he needs to grab his chance while it's there ... even at the expense of disappointing Peter Barlow.

may it have something to do with a 'slightly' reduced monetary offer compared to what he would've made versus whyte?

You seem surprised Finkel. Has Bandog been flying under your radar?

Great work on the time-line btw but I'm sure you realize the Whyte haters won't read it as it doesn't suit their agenda and even if they do you'll get the standard "Boo hoo, cry me a river, are you so dumb you expect life to be fair?" kind of moronic response.

Well it's actually from a timeline about general WBC corruption, I'm not keeping a record of Whyte's career per se.
But feel free to point out the parts you aren't happy with

To be fair, I can understand why most people wouldn't.
That's the trouble with the WBC, they are so corrupt that it gets draining. They muddy the water so much it's almost impossible to hold them to account
The reality is tho, I'm just pissing in the wind
