Quite frankly Kiko deserves the best financial reward out there for that brutal KO.

That could mean taking on Warrington again at Headingley or Elland Road .
Win or lose he could then have another decent payday with a Galahad rematch :TU:

Sounds like there is a rematch clause
And also I think everyone is signed to DAZN, if not Matchroom too
Yep really its, just made a mismatch all the more interesting and really Galahad will probably get his title back by the spring and get another "soft" defence later.

Biggest upset since AJ vs Ruiz and I see comparisons with Rahman vs Lewis... but difference here is I could see angles why you might think repeat for those two fights (AJ chinny, Lewis getting older) here I really cannot see any other result than an emphatic Galahad win. It was a punch from the Gods
Or he will give Warrington the shot as he sells tickets.

Rematch the two main events and youd have a huge Sheffield card
Not sure Harper will rematch and they might give Kiko a Spain show. It wouldn't be huge, they done 3.500 tickets tonight which isn't much and Harper sold most of em.

Probably the likely outcome.

Maybe Galahad Lara and Warrington Kiko II

It was yet another bad night for Eddie's stable. It just shows that even with DAZN type money, it ain't all black and white. Two world champs gone in one night, and pretty good proof his Euro cruiser champ ain't going further
Nah you can see Eddie strategises well. Martinez said himself he has an agreement with Matchroom. He will make Matchroom money in his next fight or two fights.

Eddie will manouvre the IBF title to Warrington, Galahad or Wood (obviously he might get beaten by Conlan.)
Hasn’t Warrington beaten Kiko?
Frampton beat Martinez in their first fight. Martinez then went and ripped up the form book away from home to win the IBF title and then got a big pay day against Frampton in Belfast.

Take the above sentence and swap the name Frampton for Warrington.

I cant see Lara being brought here again, I think if Eddie wants to continue his investment in Kid Galahad as he signed a long term deal with him, then Galahad needs a belt to be talked about, Warrington can sell tickets without a trinket.

I wouldn't be surprised if either Galahad or Warrington move up (I dont think it will be both). I doubt Warrington and Galahad will be on a collision course anytime soon

WOW!! Just WOW!!!

Great for Kiko. Kid Galahad is never to be world level.
I want to correct my comment about Kid Galahad above. He was caught by a big right in a fight that he had dominated. He has really good skills and gifts. With hard work and good fortune he could mount a comeback and break through at world level. That will be a heavy lift from where he is tonight but he has the potential to get it done.

Kiko’s definitely on the gear. He was named in Spanish media as one of Fuentes clients in the operation puerto case that brought down many of the worlds top cyclists 15 years ago

Kiko was having more and more success as the fight was going on. He was landing more frequently and some pretty flush shots but they were bouncing off Galahads chin. If you watch the fight back with a keen eye on Kikos work, you can definitely see him landing some good shots in the 2 rounds preceding the KO. I was getting a little worried for Galahad because he didn't look great defensively and I could see Kiko landing more and more. The narrative is going to be that it was a lucky punch but I don't think it was. Kiko was starting to get to Galahad more and more.

Fair play to Kiko but it has to be one of the most embarrassing losses by a British world champ. Rendall Munroe was outpointing Kiko relatively comfortably 13 years ago. In 2021, Galahad gets starched by him.

Huge upsets there

Sad for Harper; she seems a nice girl. That said .. she sells lots of tickets, and is still young .. there will be other belts out there for her. Lesson being to avoid the odd one or two women around her weight who can actually fight.

Galahad .. if Eddie wasn't talking rematch; then it looks like he feeding Kiki to Warrington and dropping the Kid.

Galahad isn't the first world champ to get caught by a big shot and stopped.

Complacency is a constant danger, especially when you're winning a fight against a substandard opponent.
