he for sure got hurt and was holding onto the ropes and clutching onto wallin at one point in the 12th. sure, he wasnt about to get stopped or anything though

ppl who dont think usyk can do damage to him need to check out that fight. he also got rocked back in the day by nick firtha

he clearly isnt iron when you can hit him. as i said though he has bounced right back pretty much each time though, fair play.

Bit of a simplification. He's got up... so far. But he's been hurt a lot for a guy mostly fighting easy opponents.

When you're getting knocked down and wobbled that frequently it's not a stretch to imagine the Rahman sledge hammer that felled Lewis doing the same to you.

Virtually all the arguments for Fury's greatness I notice hang on the fact he hasn't lost or been KOd. His career is in progress! Let's see how it goes.

What on earth makes you stick to the idea of Rahman possessing some super special 'sledge hammer' and hitting harder than Wilder?

You don't have to hit harder than Wilder exactly to beat Fury. It'd help a lot if you'd connect significantly more than Wilder though

Rahman was obviously a puncher, well known as a puncher, and thanks to Lewis' stupidity Rahman was able to load up and land the punch of all punches.

Perhaps go to YouTube and refresh your memory.

Wilder knocking out, uh... Audley Harrison? Bermain Stiverne? That chinny Pole? 40 year old Ortiz doesn't exactly establish him as the all-time killer hitter you need him to be to bolster your hero's credentials.

Wilder is undoubtedly a big hitter, that's one thing you can't take away from him. He's just not an especially skilled boxer so he's not all that accurate with his big, murderous punches.

Rahman was more skilled than Wilder, but Wilder is definitely the bigger hitter of the two. Come to think a match between the two is an interesting bout to consider.

He has power in his arsenal of one punch, certainly, but he lacks a KO over anyone remotely significant to help us rank him as a puncher. Rahman flattened Lennox Lewis! But Wilder has proven he's the better puncher because he flattened... Audley?

You're putting everything on their power as if that's the only part of the game. Rahman beat Lewis because he landed the perfect punch, and fought the best fight of his life against an ill prepared Lennox.

Everything Wilder has ever achieved he owes to his right hand punching power. That's pretty much the one and only thing he's bringing to the table.

Rahman while no master boxer exactly can jab, can set up his punches a little better, and is overall more skilled than Wilder.

In the rematch Lewis was 100% focused and destroyed Rahman. I suspect that would've been the case if Lewis was equally prepared for their 1st bout as well.

You put Wilder up against the Lennox of South Africa, he has a chance against Lewis too. You put Wilder against Lewis of the Rahman rematch. He also gets flattened.

Lewis played a big part in getting himself beat by Rahman. I'm not trying to discredit Rahman's win, he did what he needed to do and achieved his greatest achievement, but I think we all agree than 90% of the time Lewis beats Rahman right?

My point with all this is. To me Wilder's is undoubtedly a bigger puncher than Rahman because punching power is ALL HE HAS. It's the only thing that's gotten him this far to where we're even discussing him right now.

Rahman is a better overall boxer, and wasn't exactly feather fisted in his own right.

Another thing to further extend my point.

Ali was dropped by Henry Cooper, but not by George Foreman.

Does anybody on Earth think that Cooper hit harder than Foreman? Of course not.

It's not always about how hard you hit. The biggest punch in the world don't mean sh*t if it only hits air.

Now watch whom Wilder failed to KO and whom Rahman failed to KO in order to finally get educated on this subject. :TU:

His biggest win is over a 40 year old man

Way too subtle and nuanced for Dr Duke. He like when big punch make boom and man fall down

This thread isn’t about Lennox. As I said before - Tyson is the man at heavy. He’s top dog, it’s up to the contenders to step up and challenge him now.

he'll be the king if he beats usyk, for now he's got plenty to prove himself.....including actually being able to put together a sustained reign as champ

he's made 1 title defense his entire career and in the last 6 years beat a total of 1 top 10 fighter (on his 2nd try at it)

In the first fight, the 12th round, never have I seen someone hit harder.
Seriously? Good shot, but it was hardly Rahman/Lewis in terms of huge swing, maximum power, clean connect while opponent in worst possible position type magnificence.
Both Rahman and Wilder landed as clean as possible and with maximum power. Fury simply has a better chin and recovery than Lewis.
I think I agree that Fury has a better chin than Lennox, however the shot that Wilder landed wasn't nearly as flush/solid as the Rahman and McCall shots that Lewis took.

The others have more to prove, Alex included. That’s just how it’s rolling now. Fury is seen as the man.

nah, that's how fury bois see it . to them he might as well sit on his arse farting up a storm and never fighting again, and theyd cheer it on and count a 'lineal' defense and masterclass for each toot

he's just one of the big dogs at the top, he's not the ruler of all the others yet though. 1 top 10 opponent in 6 years, with another undefeated unified champ around, aint cutting it. maybe he'll actually put together a title reign this time around, we'll see

The things is I don't remember Rahman 1 punching anyone else taking them from their senses like that. Wilder has 1 punched many of his opponents. Fury was also knocked out and seperated from his senses at least in the first Wilder bout if not the 3rd bout. He somehow managed to clear his senses within 10 seconds though.

Ofcourse what allot of people don't know about Lewis-Rahman 1 is it was held at high altitude where it's harder to breath. Rahman had been training there for several weeks and Lennox came to altitude in the last few weeks. Lennox was breathing hard and fighting with his hands down and his chin up in the air. Then before the KO goes back in a straight line with his chin high up in the air and catches a sledge hammed on the temple. It was a freak event which all those circumstances led too.
