I didn’t go to AJ/Usyk so can’t comment but Fury/Chisora & BJS/Eubank was, by a long way, the worst organised show I’ve ever been to.

No where near enough toilets so people pissing all over the place and the token main event (Fury/Chisora) started so late I missed my train back. I refused to go to another FW show after that.

I stayed in a hotel just opposite the Excel when I went to Groves-Degale. Had a wander to find a pub and got lost for hours. It was a strange part of town. Very little going on.

It was 12.30/12.40 by the time it started and finished gone 1am.

Crazy for a U.K. show that isn’t being timed for US TV.

I’ve never stayed near there and have either gone back home (like I was planning to do post Fury/Chisora) or stayed somewhere further afield.

I went 5/6 times to the excel for the boxing at the Olympics. Not loads there as you say (I’m sure there is if you know where to look) so for food/drink I used to go over to the O2. Wouldn’t have thought it’s somewhere you’d want to drink at post fights though. I always quite liked the walk to the excel from Canning Town - straight past the Peacock.

Yeah, it was strange, I'd heard all about the Canning Town boozers but couldn't find one. I couldn't in Canary Wharf, either. It's Custom House, The Excel, not the best place to be wandering about at night when your mate is a blonde skinhead.

yes! i remember looking at my phone and thinking f uck it's 1am that's me missing the last train ! and it's not finished ,got outside and was so foggy was hard to find your way about
