What makes the Liston-Patterson KO's so impressive is, especially after the 2nd one you get the impression that it could've never went any other way.p4p1 wrote: ↑30 Jan 2022, 20:58 As a general rule, I would have to say making your opponent quit on their stool. It normally means that you've not only broken your opponents body but spirit in a one sided beating.
Having said that there is cases where a one round KO is just as impressive if not more so. A good example is Liston's wins over Patterson. Both fights were single sided one round demolition jobs that could not have been more impressive.
Completely agree mate. Both fights lead you to the conclusion that if they fought 100 times it would be over in the first round 100 times, unless Patterson ran for his life.gilgamesh wrote: ↑30 Jan 2022, 21:02What makes the Liston-Patterson KO's so impressive is, especially after the 2nd one you get the impression that it could've never went any other way.p4p1 wrote: ↑30 Jan 2022, 20:58 As a general rule, I would have to say making your opponent quit on their stool. Best case scenario is Patterson runs and survives Round 1 only to get KO'd in Round 2.
