Very possible and done regularly in MMA, wrestling and weightlifting. Sweat a lot and dont drink a lot. I mean bit more to it than that but thats the general idea.

your not shedding any fat, your literally just pulling water out of your muscles, stepping on the scales, then putting it back, but it takes a tole on the body.

Anyone know how much Williams made for the Eubank fight - perhaps in hindsight and putting 2 and 2 together I think the finances were a case of "too much too lose". I mean at one stage it was looking like Liam was tempted to fight carrying an injury and I did wonder how much did he train in January. In an ideal situation Williams should have had a warm up fight between Andrade and Eubank to build the confidence but I think Williams' sacrificed a lot of "in an ideal situation" so I assume the money must have been brilliant.

There were rumours of Williams turning up pissed that influenced him leaving Ingle .. rumours being rumours of course.

Its hard to explain a very tough guy like Williams; who not got too many punishing fights behind him, actually being so fragile to get knocked down, and looking genuinely hurt, by nothing more than flicking jabs.

Doing the weight badly is the obvious one. Am I right in saying he has become a father for the first time? I remember when that happened to me and if you get involved (i.e. you actually live in the same house as the mother and child) it is very draining and not at all conducive with a routine that is not the baby's.

Yep he got two little ones. Recent on with his current girlfriend.
From what I understand he stayed up country for longish stretches when with Ingle, and with Booth he commutes back each weekend.

I guess it's easy to dig a hole if you not got eyes on you constantly as he would up Sheffield. I'm sure Williams was accustomed to having his diet monitored whilst up there - Dom being the multitalented trainer/wrestler/dietician/chef/musician he is

Not just monitored - ALL cooked and served is what I was told.

There was a recent topic who you'd guide your son to train with. The ingles would def me my 1st choice; the late great Brendan, and I'm sure Dom will become as great.

I honestly think Liam Williams would have performed far better against Eubank with Dom Ingle in his corner with the unorthodox Ingle style.

Williams` best career performances were under Dom.

Outside of Ryan Burnett, what relatively recent successes has Adam Booth had? Big fight coming up for Mick Conlan and Booth against Leigh Wood particularly after Josh Kelly has failed to deliver.

To be fair he fought no different against Eubank as he did Andrade .. right down to the same early crisis.

I don't really want to see him going in there and taking more hard punishment. Williams going down from jabs is not good. I know he's also been doing the blinking thing since he's come on the scene but I think it's got worse. He has got to look out for himself, he's getting hurt in fights and taking a lot of shots. They will probably give him a fight with an Eggington or Fowler type. Both would be good fights where I guess you'd expect him to win. He was probably going to win that Eubank fight if not for the knockdowns to be honest but I just get the feeling it's getting close to the time where he should start thinking about his health. As a big fan of his I just would really like to see him financially secure from boxing and out of the game.
