Shannon Courtenay against Ebanie Bridges, could had been the other way round.
Lennox Lewis being handed the WBC title.

Lewis was gifted his title but who's fault was that? He wanted bowe and confronted bowe at his title win against holyfield but bowe decided to bin the belt,Lewis was worthy of that title and his resume and title defences can confirm this.
Look at Bruno he was gifted his wbc knowing that whoever he fights after that the title ain't gonna be his after it.
Same as Jonas,whoever she fights next is taking that title

His team saw there was a beatable champion to give him another belt in another weight class.

The purse was a lottery win for the Canadian.

Nevertheless Lalonde was a decent fighter and a champion, he ended give SRL a scare too.

That's right, and I agree the IBF gave their titles to long standing champions to try and make the IBF legitimate, which worked when Holmes gave up the other title and just defended the IBF one.
