Khan doesn't have poor ring IQ. It's more like he just has less options. He is not exactly Carlos Monzon in there. His MO is movement and fast combos then exit and repeat and so forth. It works well because he's got fast hands and feet and uses a lot of feints. Fighters have to respect his feints. If he's in there with a technician who knows how to deal with someone throwing feints like that and is able to either get into an exchange of punches where Khan is vulnerable or put educated pressure on him then he is just out of options. The only thing he can do is more feints and fast punches.

He’s gonna call anyone that defends Khan a Pakistani/South Asian..

Like it’s only those folk that will defend Khan. Maybe if you weren’t so obsessed with him, you’d see people on here will defend a lot of boxers, regardless of colour/nationality.

I’ve got a lot of favourite boxers tbh. You don’t seem like you been here long enough. Of course Khan has just fought so there’s a lot of talk about him and Brook at the moment.

I am far from a fan of Khan's. My post history would show you that I have never said a kind word on the guy.
But your comments are trash. Khan does not have a low boxing IQ. His defense is far from poor. Now his chin is pure crap. But your assessment of his skills are as poor as your knowledge of the sport. :TU:

Khan biggest risk to getting KO'd is that he typically comes to fight; I can't think of a better value British fighter since Nigel Benn.

Sure he doesn't hold a punch too good. Although a front foot fighter is always having to absorb a heavier punch when he gets caught.

Khan was a very brave and skilled fighter, who wasn't scared to take a challenge as his record shows.

I can assure you that I always talk about boxers in context with the respect they deserve.
Look at what Khan has done, in fact he is certainly one of the better boxers this country has produced.
You say you have never boxed, but as a light breeze will knock him over and he is a bum I am sure you will still win.
Nevertheless your tone and disrespect in your posts indicate that you have never boxed.
Furthermore your limited posts have all been geared negatively at a certain race. Perhaps there are other forums which cater more for these tastes.

Agree - sadly his strengths also meant his weakness were more exposed. His single jab isn't a particularly amazing weapon but his combinations and his feet are. His power was okay, but not outstanding. So Khan really needed to come in to use those combinations - which meant was more inclined to get clipped. But his survival skills (as sign of decent ring IQ) were also pretty good.

Big difference between Khan with a major weakness and how AJ performed getting "fiddled about" so easily vs Usyk. Naz, as good as he was, showed terrible ring IQ vs Barrera. Khan was shot and got clipped.

I'm just finding a lot of these derogatory comments about Amir Khan really sad to read.

His Silver Medal in Athens effectively kick started the next generation of funding for the Team GB Olympic boxing program. He did it on minimal funding (he was only 17) and 4 years later we had DeGale winning a Gold, we had 2 bronzes and that then led to multi millions of lottery funding, the set-up at Sheffield and what McCracken and his team have been able to build.

He doesn't have a HoF resume, but he's a tough guy whom I'm sure, knows his limitations. Anyone questioning his heart is misplaced - he went in the ring with Canelo.

He got beaten on Saturday, but he turned up at the press conference afterwards, didn't make excuses and came across really well. I've never heard a bad word against him from anyone in the fight game.
