I think you should offer him a fight, he is ripe for the taking, I'm sure you would do wellpedfreeboxing wrote: ↑21 Feb 2022, 21:27 Everyone talks about the chin. Hes such a multi flawed boxer. It was the same old amir khan. No ring iq. No chin. Poor defence. Little power
Khan has always been overrated, one of the weakest high profile boxers we've ever seen.
The luckiest thing for Khan is he got manufactured shots in the weakest division at the time when Gavin Rees and Souleymayne Mbaye and Kotelnik were laughably champs. Without that little
little forgettable period (between getting destroyed in 50 seconds to Prescott losing to the mediocre Peterson)and the ' world champion' tag. He really would be audley harrison level of ridicule.
Hes tried so many different trainers, the best and most expensive trainers in the world! Yet still could never iron out his flaws. I suppose you can't polish a turd

Khan doesn't have poor ring IQ. It's more like he just has less options. He is not exactly Carlos Monzon in there. His MO is movement and fast combos then exit and repeat and so forth. It works well because he's got fast hands and feet and uses a lot of feints. Fighters have to respect his feints. If he's in there with a technician who knows how to deal with someone throwing feints like that and is able to either get into an exchange of punches where Khan is vulnerable or put educated pressure on him then he is just out of options. The only thing he can do is more feints and fast punches.

He’s gonna call anyone that defends Khan a Pakistani/South Asian..
Like it’s only those folk that will defend Khan. Maybe if you weren’t so obsessed with him, you’d see people on here will defend a lot of boxers, regardless of colour/nationality.

I’ve got a lot of favourite boxers tbh. You don’t seem like you been here long enough. Of course Khan has just fought so there’s a lot of talk about him and Brook at the moment.pedfreeboxing wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022, 20:50Im not I just can't stand his delusional sensitive fanbase.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022, 20:41 He’s gonna call anyone that defends Khan a Pakistani/South Asian..

But don't be denying you're south asian when it's obvious you are.
I don't see you defending any other boxers with that level of loyalty and passion as you do Khan

I am far from a fan of Khan's. My post history would show you that I have never said a kind word on the guy.pedfreeboxing wrote: ↑22 Feb 2022, 20:24What a strange sensitive response to a person whos never boxed and only started watching boxing as an adult... Im sure if I went through your post history you are saying negative things about boxers you don't rate. Thats what forums are for.
Never known criticism over a sportsperson bother a fanbase so much![]()
Obviously its cause your people are so hopelessly embarrassingly awful at boxing ( couldnt be any worse) so you lump all your hopes on one multi flawed laughing stock boxer. I really have never known such a crying fanbase, hes like a God to you.![]()
But your comments are trash. Khan does not have a low boxing IQ. His defense is far from poor. Now his chin is pure crap. But your assessment of his skills are as poor as your knowledge of the sport.
Re: Is Khans poor Ring IQ and defence as bad as his chin?
Khan biggest risk to getting KO'd is that he typically comes to fight; I can't think of a better value British fighter since Nigel Benn.
Sure he doesn't hold a punch too good. Although a front foot fighter is always having to absorb a heavier punch when he gets caught.
Khan was a very brave and skilled fighter, who wasn't scared to take a challenge as his record shows.

Look at what Khan has done, in fact he is certainly one of the better boxers this country has produced.
You say you have never boxed, but as a light breeze will knock him over and he is a bum I am sure you will still win.
Nevertheless your tone and disrespect in your posts indicate that you have never boxed.
Furthermore your limited posts have all been geared negatively at a certain race. Perhaps there are other forums which cater more for these tastes.

Re: Is Khans poor Ring IQ and defence as bad as his chin?
Agree - sadly his strengths also meant his weakness were more exposed. His single jab isn't a particularly amazing weapon but his combinations and his feet are. His power was okay, but not outstanding. So Khan really needed to come in to use those combinations - which meant was more inclined to get clipped. But his survival skills (as sign of decent ring IQ) were also pretty good.Boxerbeetle wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 07:01tonyevs wrote: ↑23 Feb 2022, 02:57 Khan biggest risk to getting KO'd is that he typically comes to fight; I can't think of a better value British fighter since Nigel Benn.

Big difference between Khan with a major weakness and how AJ performed getting "fiddled about" so easily vs Usyk. Naz, as good as he was, showed terrible ring IQ vs Barrera. Khan was shot and got clipped.
Re: Is Khans poor Ring IQ and defence as bad as his chin?
I'm just finding a lot of these derogatory comments about Amir Khan really sad to read.
His Silver Medal in Athens effectively kick started the next generation of funding for the Team GB Olympic boxing program. He did it on minimal funding (he was only 17) and 4 years later we had DeGale winning a Gold, we had 2 bronzes and that then led to multi millions of lottery funding, the set-up at Sheffield and what McCracken and his team have been able to build.
He doesn't have a HoF resume, but he's a tough guy whom I'm sure, knows his limitations. Anyone questioning his heart is misplaced - he went in the ring with Canelo.
He got beaten on Saturday, but he turned up at the press conference afterwards, didn't make excuses and came across really well. I've never heard a bad word against him from anyone in the fight game.
