I was astonished at how Burton performed. Looked absolutely shot and gun shy. Absolutely nothing in his shots at all. Thought he looked ill tbh.
Looked weak as a kitten.

I thought Oathie looked terrible in Latvia. I'd stick a fork in him, he's done.

I only watched the last 3 rounds of it, and thought it was a nervous twitch type thing.KiwiRider wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021, 13:43Showboating, once he found Burton's power to be not a threat. Big turn off for me. He was egging Burton in. Well that's how I saw it. That means to me he needs his future opponents to be stepped up. Too many knockovers and his head will swell too much.Old bones Ian wrote: ↑22 Nov 2021, 09:05 Liked what I saw with Azeez, looked good.
What is the thing where he drops both hands in an odd way in front of him though?
Re: What Now For Dan Azeez?

Press Release | Dan Azeez Inks Long-Term Promotional Pact With BOXXER
British Light Heavyweight Champion ‘Super’ Dan Azeez (15-0, 10 KO’s) has signed an exclusive long-term promotional deal with BOXXER and will defend his title at OVO Wembley Arena on Saturday, March 26, live on Sky Sports.
The undefeated London man will be making his first defence of the belt he won in November with a career-best performance which resulted in a seventh-round stoppage of former champion Hosea Burton.
Having won the Southern Area title and English title in 2019, November’s win entered Azeez into the record books in November as the first British boxer in the light-heavyweight division to have won the trio of domestic titles.
Azeez boxed for Essex University while studying a Finance & Accounting degree and turned professional in 2017 after an exemplary amateur career in which he captured the Haringey Box Cup, Odivelas Box Cup and reached the National Finals of the South of England ABAs.
With 10 of his 15 wins by way of knockout, he has a growing reputation as a boxer who marries a cerebral boxing game with raw power and aggression, capable of boxing tactically or engaging in close-range firefights as required.
"I'm delighted to be signing with BOXXER and fighting on Sky Sports. I believe I’ve earned my place to showcase my skills on this great platform. I'm looking forward to defending my British title on March 26 as I continue my journey to reach the pinnacle of the sport and become a world champion," said Azeez.
BOXXER Founder and CEO Ben Shalom said “Dan Azeez has fought the hard way to the top of the pyramid through Southern Area, English and British titles. He is an inspiring personality with a great boxing style. We are delighted to secure his signing after his last outing against Hosea Burton, where he became one of the most talked about light heavyweights in the country.”

Re: What Now For Dan Azeez?
Azeez is solid but IMO his ceiling is Euro level.
He seems very one paced and flat footed. I'd pick Yarde, Buatsi, Johnson to beat him and probably outboxed by Arthur if he's on form.
But I've been wrong before. Hope BOXXER keep him busy and get him the right fights. Richards, Pitters, Rocky Fielding or even a rematch against Summers would be good fights for him right now IMO.

I listened to Ben Shalom yesterday and he was intimating that they’d be looking at Pitters in May. Good that they’re planning to keep him active.black panther wrote: ↑10 Mar 2022, 11:19 Azeez is solid but IMO his ceiling is Euro level.

None of the lads at this level are anywhere near active enough , why are they not out 4 plus times a year ?maverick23 wrote: ↑10 Mar 2022, 11:24I listened to Ben Shalom yesterday and he was intimating that they’d be looking at Pitters in May. Agree. Even if you’re a top top fighter I think it’s good to be out regularly to help stay sharp and build a fan base.rd350lc wrote: ↑11 Mar 2022, 07:17None of the lads at this level are anywhere near active enough , why are they not out 4 plus times a year ?maverick23 wrote: ↑10 Mar 2022, 11:24I listened to Ben Shalom yesterday and he was intimating that they’d be looking at Pitters in May. Boxxer/Sky have the ability to do that with a smaller group of fighters so hopefully Azeez can get out 4 times this year.
