I’d like to see more 10-10s and more 10-8s.
Not saying throw them around like confetti, but it would be a big help.
A lot of fights are 6-0 at halfway when almost nothing has happened. Frampton vs Quigg was like that. About half of all round ones are dull and neither deserves a lead.
The problem then, is that a 10-8 round scored for a clear round, would likely lead to a 10-7 for a reasonably close round with a knockdown. That would mean that there'd massive swings in scores.
I don't see a real problem with the scoring of rounds in terms of their numerical value, more the application of it.
How are judges selected?
There should certainly be more disciplinaries. Quite how IJL is allowed to carry on judging is beyond me.
If that guy was a train driver, making as many 'mistakes' as he does, there'd be bodies littering the line from Newcastle to Newquay.
I like the idea of majority - I think. Something along the lines of 3/4 judges have to agree on a round or it's scored even. (Someone explained the idea once, it made some sense, but I'm hazy on the details).
Also being away from the crowd. Technology has moved on now so cameras give you a better view than ringside.
The BBBofC need to get a handle on this, though. We are worse at judging and reffing than the stereotypical German or Italian
