He would have swallowed and regurgitated cruiserweights.

As always, too much silly obsession with weight by modern fans. Talent, toughness. That's what counts.

There's much truth in that, no doubt but as hard, as tough, as brave, as relentless as the Rock was, there's no way he beats Frazier or Tyson prime for prime. Size matters too there's no getting away from it.

Teofilo Stevenson always wanted to fight M. Ali but the Cuban government would not allow it. He was convinced that he could beat Ali. Stevenson fought the Russian heavy Igor Vysotsky twice. Vysotsky beat him both times. This is why the so called world champions in the US and UK before the 1990's were really only US-UK champions, not world champions. They never fought any eastern Europeans or Russians or Cubans. Cubans are still not allowed to turn pro, but there are many Cuban ex pats now.

The best heavy I ever saw was Vitali Klitschko. Rocky Marciano #2.

I know that Stevenson had been defeated by Vysotsky twice, but, honestly I have never watched Vysotsky (I have read that injuries had destroyed his career). Stevenson has been something like semi-god for me, he had everything, literally everything - height, reach, power, chin, heart. It is very difficult to compare, but (regarding Cuban HWs) I think he had been a level above Solis, and two levels above Ortiz.

I love Louis but even forgetting about size his slow footed style is terrible against either Klitschko he'd be destroyed by either brother
. If he was fleet footed maybe but he held his feet and fired off against guys 50 pounds heavier and good that's crazy.

Best combo puncher ever. He gave up 50 pounds in his day.

100%. Maybe the best pure punching technique in HW history. Lots of weapons and decent chin. Abe Simon; Buddy Baer to name a couple of big guys wrecked by the Brown Bomber. When he hit a guy, you can see the entire body take the shock wave.

And I know your crazy idiot he never would on either and no his tech wasn't the best cause he was outdated

I've seen nothing like Ali in 66/7 but sadly that was before my time.

He was so otherworldly good and ahead of his time that the contemporary opinion seemed to be that he was little more than a hype job.

Even the Beatles thought Liston would beat him and Sonny also got a place on the 1967 Sgt Pepper cover ahead of Ali who they actually met down in Miami?!

In my time, it has to be Mike Tyson. He was that fast and powerful that I actually started wondering whether he could have beaten a peak Ali.

Foreman and Vitali Klitschko were phenomenal too, just not as quick.
