He got you there Oogie! Doubt you’ll recover from that one…time to switch to an alt account, I reckon.

For the older guys here, you may remember ABC's Wide World of Sports. I was a kid watching with my dad. Honestly don't remember if live or not but pretty sure it was. Ali vs Cleveland Williams. My dad was a big Joe Louis fan, but after seeing that fight he said maybe Ali would have had a chance vs Louis. I was hooked. Since then, I don't think any heavy could have beaten Ali on that night. I also enjoyed the Ernie Terrell fight. Loved Ali and Howard Cosell interviews.
Watched quite a few after, including some olympics. Closed circuit bs spoiled it, as we couldn't afford to watch until the re-run came out. Eventually we got a color TV, which was nice.

Numbers eh?
There should be an auto ignore function to save having to type in streams of numbers onto the ignore list. I have 7 or 8 number names on mine, and no one else, just numbers.

I've only been following boxing since 2002, so the best heavyweight I've seen live is probably Lennox Lewis, followed by Tyson Fury, followed by the Klitschkos.

Good question. Probably have to go with Usyk or AJ, although Usyk needs more fights at the weight.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 19:59who's the next guy after the klitsjezzamundo wrote: ↑22 Apr 2022, 19:58 I've only been following boxing since 2002, so the best heavyweight I've seen live is probably Lennox Lewis, followed by Tyson Fury, followed by the Klitschkos.

I saw Oliver McCall and Michael Moorer fight in different bouts in person, but they were past their prime. I saw Sultan Ibragimov fight in person a couple of years before he won a heavyweight title.

Closer, but I'll go with Lennox and Wlad.margaret thatcher wrote: ↑23 Apr 2022, 00:32 hhmmm

Vitali vs Wlad is a funny hypothetical because it would never happen. Vitali is the more durable and mentally tougher, but Wlad was the more skilled and the harder puncher. I think Lennox and Fury beat both Klits prime-for-prime. Lennox vs Fury is an interesting matchup where I favour Lennox, but not by much.

The Riddick Bowe that beat Holyfield in their first fight showed us what a great fighter he was. Such a pity he didnt show the discipline required to achieve the greatness his talent deserved...But for me, that Riddick Bowe had it all......
