Agree with your general point about journalism.![]()
Fair enough he was always the Tipperary Tornado when I knew of him boxing.
Subtle, a bit different and great walk-on music.
He always used the Sinatra version IIRC..

"Exiled gang boss Liam Byrne’s son Lee has deleted his widely followed Instagram account.
Lee Byrne (22), who has no involvement in crime, amassed thousands of followers on his Instagram page where he regularly posted snaps of sports cars and while on luxury holidays.
It emerged on Tuesday that the Dublin native, who once dated UK model Daisey O’Donnell, had deactivated his profile.
Meanwhile, it is understood the UK’s National Crime Agency (NCA) is investigating Lee’s father Liam Byrne, and is looking into Liam Byrne’s access to massive wealth and assets in the UK.
After his brother David was killed at the Regency Hotel, Liam fled Ireland as the Garda Criminal Assets Bureau (CAB) moved in and seized millions of euro worth of his wealth in 2019.
The CAB has also seized dozens of high-powered vehicles, jewellery, bank accounts and Byrne's Raleigh Square home in Crumlin, which was reportedly fitted with a panic room and jacuzzi."
Influencer... Absolutely tragic they should be picking on the real criminals

Lee Byrne posted a picture of him and James Whelan a few weeks ago with a gushing tribute after he was killed
Who's James Whelan?? Well Irish people will know that surname, he was a younger member of a well known family of scumbags, at a lively 22 years old a few weeks ago tried to petrol bomb a house of one of the mob that is now on the outs with the Kinahans and got himself shot dead as he ran away
They posted a picture of him on social media with the caption "go to sleep James" with laughing emojis
These lads are absolute charmers!!
Needless to say his funeral was extremely lavish , gold plated coffin and all, and revenge has been vowed.
Whelan's mob threw a grenade at the wrong house, and since his killing a few weeks ago they have since shot up a house that also turned out to be the wrong one
It's been the first gang related killing in Ireland in a year
Let's just hope it doesn't get as bad as it was ffs

Not to be starting up any aggro here again Greeny, I want to keep it civil.
Was all these murders not related to the feud still to do with the Kinahans?
Was Finn not Lawlors best mate at one time?
It was when the wee guy turned up in bits that I first read about Lawlor.

Finn killed Alan Ryan for Jonathan Gill after they got word it would be sanctioned by the Reals as they wanted rid of Ryan
Finn and Lawlor were friends, Finn once called Lawlor about one of his pals in a pub talking about a job he did with him, Lawlor ambushed and killed him on the way home
A guy on the Irish forums knew both of them, and this guy was legit, older fella, we got talking about Bronco Downey, the notorious gunman from the troubles, he even knew him, he went down south to contract jobs after missing two hit attempts on him by a ball hair, my grandmother was actually in the bar when he had just walked out and the provos came in with AKs looking him
According to him, Lawlor was scared of Finn and wanted to get him first

Well some of his supporters have this mythical status of a "true republican" trying to cleanse the place of drug dealers, when of course he was extorting them, the problem was his little faction were doing a lot unsanctioned stuff and the boys up top wanted rid, when Ryan got it, his group was expelled from the Reals and they went on to kill one of its membersWee Tommy wrote: ↑28 Apr 2022, 19:17I was around a lot of violence in my younger days in Glasgow but it was all blades, it just seems to be next level in Ireland. Here's an interesting excerp from an article by a woman who knew the Ryan's personally
"During the meeting certain demands for money were made to the bag man. Declan Smith was reported to have told the guy what he had previously done to a man in an alleyway in Belfast in an incident where the victim was killed with a shovel. Smith was admitting what most people knew or suspected: that he was the shovel man.
The meeting ended with the bag man receiving a severe beating at the door of the hotel. At this point Alan told the guy that he was a dead man and that all those with him were also dead men walking. At this point the former Provisional IRA O/C asked Alan if he was threatening him also. Alan explained that he was not. Alan Ryan lay dead within a few short weeks."
