Joseph Parker signs deal with Sky and Boxxer

after getting robbed of the gold, i really wanted to see joyce press on and do well. he would have been a handful for anyone i feel. but his careers just sunk hasn't it? gutted for him. wonder what he's earned.

I always thought Joyce signing for Frank was bad, but his fights under Frank weren’t that bad, then he had the Dubois win (which he was supposed to lose).. ahem..

Whether they would or not, I can't see him choosing to come over here to fight Parker when he could make millions more to fight Ruiz (if he beats Ortiz) in the US, which would do far better on PPV. It just doesn't seem likely at all. If Wilder fights again, it'll in all likelihood be on a PBC card.

I think they believe Whyte II, and then possibly Joyce in a WBO eliminator, are PPV fights.

I’m not sure what they’re planning for Parker. It’s a strange one.

When Wilder fought over here last he wasn’t headlining PPVs. He’s known over here but if Khan/Brook does c.5-600k buys then I can’t see this doing 200k over here.

He’ll sell well against Ruiz and others in the US.

I think they’ve overestimated Parker’s selling power and they may think he could be the A-side in PPVs now against those kind of guys you mention like Bakole etc.

I agree he’s not fighting Joyce next. They may try and lure Whyte over with Parker but not sure what Whyte’s got to gain by going over old ground.

It’s a real strange one but hopefully we won’t have to wait long to find out what they’re doing. They make look to have him in a decent fight as a co-headline to the Shields/Marshall fight, assuming it’s PPV.

I think the plan would be Whyte II and then possibly Joyce (obviously promotional difficulties there). Adam Smith mentioned those names, Bakole and Dubois in his interview after last night. I wouldn't be surprised to see Parker-Bakole on a Shields-Marshall undercard though as you say.

Nelson and him spent a lot of time in Morecombe with Fury so I’m sure at some point they’re trained/sparred together.

Joseph Parker Confident He Could Knock Off Joe Joyce and Dillian Whyte

Former WBO heavyweight champion Joseph Parker recently signed a long-term promotional deal with BOXXER, who have an exclusive content deal with Sky Sports.

Parker had been in talks to fight unbeaten puncher Joe Joyce, who has a promotional pact with allegedly.

Warren has an exclusive content agreement with BT Sport - which creates a network issue for making a fight with Parker.

Parker was seen in the ring last fall, when he battered Derek Chisora over twelve rounds for a dominant decision win in their rematch.

The New Zealand star explains that he's still ready to face Joyce or take part in a rematch with Dillian Whyte, who beat Parker on a close decision in 2018.

"I believe with my full heart that I can be champion of the world again. I know there's a lot of supporters, I know there's a lot of doubters but I don't care. I want to go out there and give it everything I have," Parker told Sky Sports.

"I'll fight any heavyweight out there, it doesn't matter who it is. I want to fight the biggest and the baddest heavyweights out there because I know what I can do when I have a great camp and I'm mentally focused on the fight."

Against Chisora the second time around, Parker appeared very deadly with three knockdowns and rocking the British veteran several times in the twelve round contest.

The former champ feels confident that he would topple both Joyce and Whyte.

"Dillian Whyte is another great fight, he's coming off a loss to Tyson Fury but we had a very great fight in 2018, a very entertaining fight and a very close fight. If we do run it back, I'll get the better of him," Parker said.

"Dillian Whyte has been knocked out a few times now but it doesn't mean that he's got a weak chin, it just means that the guys that fought him landed real good punches at the right time, precise, hard punches. I know I can knock anyone, I just have to land that punch. I know I haven't shown it in recent times but the time will come where I start landing the big shots.

"[Joyce has] been rocked a few times and saying that if I do everything well in training camp, prepare the best I can and do everything right, . I know there's a lot more give and a lot more to show. I just need more time with Andy Lee [Parker's trainer], I need more time in the UK to work on these things. I can do the business on Joe Joyce. That's a fight that can still happen, the Joe Joyce fight. I know that Ben Shalom [Parker's new promoter] is in talks with allegedly and his team and Joe Joyce and his team, so it's a fight that we can make."
