Yeh. Typical PBC undercard.
It’s not an undercard without Abner Mares!!
Yeh. Typical PBC undercard.
PPV's don't help when they inundate us with them, the cost and frequency has always been the problem.
It's actually pricing me out of boxing mate. I can't afford all the various subscriptions and PPVs on top of all that. And most are not even value for money IMO.
Yeah well, there's ways around it.KiwiRider wrote: ↑24 Jun 2022, 06:07It's actually pricing me out of boxing mate. I can't afford all the various subscriptions and PPVs on top of all that. And most are not even value for money IMO.
This ain't value for money, the undercard, well I've seen worse, but not a lot worse. And who the hell gets off thinking these guys are pay per view stars?
They simply aren't, and without a solid card to back it up you would have to be a mug to waste your money on this.
Big shots from Ruiz? Arreola is pretty pathetic these days, and made it through. Maybe Ruiz is thinking he waited until Ortiz got old?
I think, if anything, it shows how thin PBC's heavyweight roster is with Wilder out which doesn't help that they do like to do fights between two Haymon advised guys.Bandog wrote: ↑25 Jun 2022, 18:03Big shots from Ruiz? This is a really stupid fight for Ruiz to take at his age. A no win situation. It will be really damaging to his career if he loses.
You didn’t watch the Ruiz-Parker fight, did you?H8Usernames wrote: ↑26 Jun 2022, 19:09 What might happen is that Ortiz just shuts Ruiz out. That southpaw jab of his is not easy to get past. If parker managed to get a decision against him then that shouldn't be hard for Ortiz to achieve.
All of those are possibleAngryGoon38 wrote: ↑26 Jun 2022, 16:23 This ones actually Really Tough to predict.
I could see it going either way.
Ortiz Could get Ruiz out of there early, by way of TKO win, from scoring 3 knockdowns.
I've never seen Ruiz against a southpaw. It may prove to be his True Achilles.
On the other hand, I wouldn't be Shocked if Ruiz just Barrels right in and Overwhelms Old Man Ortiz.
Overall, a relatively interesting Clash of Fringe Contenders.
Should be Fun while it lasts. I have a feeling that Both are going to be going for an early round finish.
Didn't watch it no. Wasn't aware that it had been such a robbery.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑26 Jun 2022, 20:07You didn’t watch the Ruiz-Parker fight, did you?H8Usernames wrote: ↑26 Jun 2022, 19:09 What might happen is that Ortiz just shuts Ruiz out. Andy Ruiz Jr. beat Joseph Parker. The Mexican-American lost by a hometown decision.
The judges’ scoring for the Ruiz Jr. fight was deemed so bad that the New Zealand Professional Boxing Association president actually resigned because of it.
He even said, “It’s bulls****, Joseph Parker didn’t win...I scored it 118-111 in favour of Ruiz”.
Agreed.H8Usernames wrote: ↑27 Jun 2022, 02:55Didn't watch it no. Wasn't aware that it had been such a robbery.
But Andy Ruiz did let lousy Anthony Joshua shut him out...
Are you seriously comparing a prime iteration of Anthony Joshua to a 43½ year old version of Luis Ortiz, with the Cuban’s only notable victory within the last 6½ years was when he had to get off the canvas twice to beat the unimpressive Charles Martin?H8Usernames wrote: ↑27 Jun 2022, 02:55...so if lousy AJ could do that then AR probably isn't getting anywhere close to Ortiz.
Wasnt a robbery. It was a very close fight. from memory i had it a draw, but could of been close either way. fairly sure parker threw more and outlanded ruiz, and neither hurt the other.Enlightened-One wrote: ↑26 Jun 2022, 20:07You didn’t watch the Ruiz-Parker fight, did you?H8Usernames wrote: ↑26 Jun 2022, 19:09 What might happen is that Ortiz just shuts Ruiz out. If you story about NZ pro boxing association president is true he is mad, having only 2 rounds to parker would be a truely insane card.
I didn't score the fight as wide as Lance Revill (the former Kiwi boxing president) scored it, but Andy Ruiz Jr. definitely beat Joseph Parker.gregregegg wrote: ↑27 Jun 2022, 04:54Wasnt a robbery. It was a competitive bout, for sure, but Ruiz Jr. probably lost due to hometown bias.
Boxing a name opponent keeps him in the frame for the big paydays, he has to do it.Bandog wrote: ↑25 Jun 2022, 18:03Big shots from Ruiz? Arreola is pretty pathetic these days, and made it through. Maybe Ruiz is thinking he waited until Ortiz got old?
