Question: How does Dereck Chisora's [#15] split decision win over Kubrat Pulev [#11] affect the current rankings?
How far up does Chisora move and how low does Pulev drop?
I'd love to agree, but:
Itโs going of recent form though as well.Cyclops wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 10:53I'd love to agree, but:
Wallin is crap. Helenius is crap.
At least both Chisora and Pulev have pretty much fought everybody, from this era and the previous one. We know everything about them we need to know.
Helenius has one good win.
Wallin could've potentially stopped the consensus number one. But he didn't, and lost wide.
History doesn't matter, the rankings should reflect the current form (how back you go is debatable, though). Chisora lost 3 of his last 4 fights, and yesterday it was some sort of 50-50 against old granny Pulev.Cyclops wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 10:53I'd love to agree, but:

only thing to do that makes sense
Some may say, Pulev was ranked higher than he should..
what beating old man pulev, no it isnt throwing his huge shots from the blue cr landing in the red cr or sometimes on pulve face when he was to old to keep his arms up, no we shouldnt be happy with that, no way delboy is even in the top 20 rankingmargaret thatcher wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 15:18 solid win for chizzy compared to what a lot of these guys are doing. which is basically nothing or stuff like getting bounced off the canvas by chuck martin before coming back to win
not at 40 tho, i mean when Danny Williams beat tyson didnt make him a world beater, i respect pulev but i thought it was could of gone either way i thought won tho i dont take any thing from dels win if you get me, just it was an entertaing fight but no meaing on the rankings. iam harsh sometimes tho i knowmargaret thatcher wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 15:52 beating pulev would be a career best win for 99 percent of heavys, especially if we just look at what theyve done lately
beating pulev (I actually don't think del boy deserved the verdict but whatever)definitely puts him above wallin & helenius, I think.Ruthless-RKO wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 15:48Some may say, Pulev was ranked higher than he should..
14. Chisora
15. Pulev
Isnโt the worst either.
Letโs see how we get on.
So far heโs above 14
dont agree joyce win against dd was better than all of the above i would have a good dd over everyone of then, delboy lost to Agit Kabayel convincingly i dont want to run del boy down he is tough brawler but he is gate keeper to the top 10 at best 14 at most pulev is sliding out 12Finkel wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 17:14 Chisora to 8
Pulev to 15
In the last 4 years Chisora has better wins than both Joyce, Ortiz, and Bakole. He has losses, but they were all competitive and came against fighters currently in the top 6. Ortiz also has losses, and looked pretty terrible against Martin. Joyce doesn't have any losses but has yet to fight a top 15 opponent.
Many consider Pulev could have been given the fight against Chisora. Also he has been in fairly decent form even after a spirited loss to Joshua, so I think he warrants being on the edge of top 15.
should we kick luis ortiz out completely because he's 42-43 then?brilo33 wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 16:56not at 40 tho, i mean when Danny Williams beat tyson didnt make him a world beater, i respect pulev but i thought it was could of gone either way i thought won tho i dont take any thing from dels win if you get me, just it was an entertaing fight but no meaing on the rankings. iam harsh sometimes tho i knowmargaret thatcher wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 15:52 beating pulev would be a career best win for 99 percent of heavys, especially if we just look at what theyve done lately
Chisora is 1-3 in his last 4 fights. His lone win is against a 198 year old Pulev.Finkel wrote: โ10 Jul 2022, 17:14 Chisora to 8
