Consider the facts.

It was a very close fight, could have gone either way. Many on here had Pulev win, and the same amount had Chisora winning. Both ways, margins are close.

Pulev was one crap fight away of being considered dropped out altogether and he didn't need to fight Chisora, so props to him Chisora fights anyone anyway.. He does have some high purse demands when it comes to fighting certain individuals.

IMO, Chisora has done enough to lift himself from the bottom. Pulev showed that he stil belongs in the top 15.

I will think about the rankings however and post them shortly..

Will post a poll, first to decide where Chisora should go, then a few days later, to decide where Pulev belongs.

No way does this enter either of them into the top 10. They're both gatekeepers and should be ranked as such.

Close fight too.

Chisora to Pulev's old spot at 11, Pulev demoted one rung to 12.

We really need some prospect kid to step up and take these old dinosaurs out. I really want to see more of Jared Anderson. I really want Hrgovic to up his game.

Joyce would run either of these two over.

All last night did was keep both relevant as name opponents. Now some promoters are going to have to dig deep and pay them, either one, handsomely to be a stepping stone for upcoming talent.

I'd love to agree, but:

Wallin is crap. Helenius is crap.

At least both Chisora and Pulev have pretty much fought everybody, from this era and the previous one. We know everything about them we need to know.

Helenius has one good win.

Wallin could've potentially stopped the consensus number one. But he didn't, and lost wide.

Itโ€™s going of recent form though as well.

Canโ€™t ignore Heleniusโ€™s two wins over Kow.

History doesn't matter, the rankings should reflect the current form (how back you go is debatable, though). Chisora lost 3 of his last 4 fights, and yesterday it was some sort of 50-50 against old granny Pulev.
The same can be said for Pulev. He didn't fight for a long time and we were about to remove him from the rankings, but he got a clear win over Forrest only to go and lose (or barely win) to Chisora who was also about to be out of the rankings.

I see both of them in the last 2 spots. Helenius and Walling, whatever crap they are, would beat both of them, today.

Letโ€™s just think about the two who shared the ring.

If others are moved up or down, then they got work to do to regain those positions in their next fights.

i think the win has none or any real bearing on the top ten there both gate keepers in my eyes, but with there age i think pulev is pushing 45 no disrespect to him. i think boxing is becoming a joke again like when i was a kid where seeing fights like this when we have peak fighters not facing each other, why what a joke , ive seen my older brother have some great fights on the street dont mean he should be on the card at the next copper box when we have all these heavy weights that are past there prime fighting top of the bill. look i would never disagree these men dont deservse a pay day but i want to see the prime fighters fighting

solid win for chizzy compared to what a lot of these guys are doing. which is basically nothing or stuff like getting bounced off the canvas by chuck martin before coming back to win

I should probably point out your second post on "consider the facts" and how you have structured the poll is likely going to bias how people vote

Chisora to 8
Pulev to 15

In the last 4 years Chisora has better wins than both Joyce, Ortiz, and Bakole. He has losses, but they were all competitive and came against fighters currently in the top 6. Ortiz also has losses, and looked pretty terrible against Martin. Joyce doesn't have any losses but has yet to fight a top 15 opponent.

Many consider Pulev could have been given the fight against Chisora. Also he has been in fairly decent form even after a spirited loss to Joshua, so I think he warrants being on the edge of top 15.

beating pulev (I actually don't think del boy deserved the verdict but whatever)definitely puts him above wallin & helenius, I think.

and the ranking itself says so too as pulev was ranked above those 2.

so putting chisora after beating pulev behind the guys that were ranked behind pulev makes little sense in my opinion.

dont agree joyce win against dd was better than all of the above i would have a good dd over everyone of then, delboy lost to Agit Kabayel convincingly i dont want to run del boy down he is tough brawler but he is gate keeper to the top 10 at best 14 at most pulev is sliding out 12

Chisora is 1-3 in his last 4 fights. His lone win is against a 198 year old Pulev.
No way is Chisora top 10 let alone #8
