The only big fights left for her are McCaskill/Cameron winner, Braekhus, Persoon III, Serrano II then arguably Mayer and Yoka-Mossley. There are also others which would be higher profile or more challenging stay busy fights than this such as McCarter, Baumgartner or Choi.

Wouldn't be surprised if Eddie is whispering Cyborg's name in Taylor's ear and this is filling time until then.

Looks like Baumgardner will try to face Choi for the Super Feather undisputed. Taylor should definitely face the winner either at Lightweight or Super Feather. Either that or McCaskill/Cameron winner for the four Super Lightweight belts.

Id rather nick campbell or Bennet though.
Fisher told NoSmoke that they have agreed in principle to fight Christopher Lovejoy.

Not exactly underrated. But he’s 20-1, 20 KOs
Lovejoy clearly has a padded record but with Fisher being 23, 6-0 with only 2 am fights and less than 18 months into his pro career you have to say that's a decent matchup. I guess Lovejoy will bring some power and that's about it but you had established pros trying to face him not too long ago.
Nope, he's fighting this 7-4 guy https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/827883

Is this confirmed? I saw that he had a cruiserweight opponent with a padded 8-2 record rejected by the BBBOC.

Yes. Matchroom tweeted it. Same guy stopped by Adeleye in 4, two fights ago.

Quite underwhelming. He clearly has some ambition but hasn't got the name yet to get attention. Hearn would have to comparatively splash out for him to get Lovejoy.

Fishers opponent is fine, but weird that they noted his durability… stopped in 2 by Dempsey who isn’t a ko artist… (but is levels up)

Fisher os just getting rounds in 6 rounders really, Mabey a few 8s then I expect them to attempt the area title, defend that a bit, then sniff about for a weak English if it’s around… (Mabey even a weak commonwealth if one pops up). Don’t think there will be a British title weak enough for him for quite some time, but I’d say that’s the long term goal.

Agyarko forced out of fight on Katie card due to hand injury

Belfast boxer Caoimhín Agyarko has been forced out of his upcoming fight in London as a result of a hand injury.

The middleweight prospect, who boasts a 100 per cent record in his opening 12 professional fights, was due to fight undefeated American fighter Peter Dobson on the undercard of Katie Taylor' upcoming world title defence at Wembley Arena on 29 October.

However, despite his best efforts to continue, Agyarko has been advised to withdraw from the fight to allow the injury to heal and plan for 2023.

"It’s with huge disappointment and frustration that I have to announce I’ve had to withdraw from my fight next Saturday in London," said Agyarko, writing on social media.

"I sustained some damage to my hand in camp that continued to deteriorate to the point where I’ve been unable to use it at all.

"My coach made the decision last night to withdraw me from the contest and I reluctantly agreed with this.

"I was willing to fight, but after meeting with my coach and manager today, as a team they have decided that it is the best course of action," continued Agyarko, who is part of Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom stable.

My take on this card looking forward to Saturday is that there may well be a couple of good fights in here and lots of action, but I don't really give a shit about the outcome of any of the fights and actually don't know the fk many of the boxers are.

Am I alone/wrong?

Not wrong.

Not really any meaningful fights that make me care..

Not sure how Gill-Martinez will go.. or if it will be a good fight..

Cully and Fisher are in fights where they're expected to win aren't they? Just prospect type fights.

It’s a poor show really. If they were doing a U.K. show every 2 weeks then you can live with it a bit more but this is their only U.K. show in October.

It’s been hit by the Agyarko fight being called off but Cully should be in with a better opponent than he is and there should have been another competitive fight or two.

I like the Martinez/Gill fight. That’s about it.

Taylor's fights are always a slog these days, even the routine defenses seem a grind for her, a long career amateur and pro been catching up for a while, a couple of wins that might have been losses but fair play she's still plugging away, hope she gets a big Croke Park fight before she hangs them up

I still don't know why they haven't done that fight already. It is a huge fight for Irish boxing and the worse she looks, the less the fight sells.
