Andrade is fighting another future HOFer in Demond Nicholson! Incredible resume for DA!

Post by apollo creed »

It's not rocket science that Andrade could have the same successfully road at 168 like he had at 160 and 154. :OhYes:

Nicholson had some tough wars with other HOFers like Lekan Byfield, Steve Rolls, Jesse Hart and Edgar Berlanga. :OhYes:

They scratched that barrel till they found what they needed. lol :OhYes:

dropped his mw title to avoid jani and instead fight a clubfighter on an undercard for nothing, makes sense

He'd need a few tune ups at 168 , then he'd try to get a big title fight with Parker or Ryder. Tough, tough road for Andrade. :OhYes:

It's hard to defend Andrade the way he has fucked up his career. Yeah, Canelo, Mall Charlo, Eubank, etc wouldn't fight him, but you have to be active and take small money to get the big money sometimes.

At least he's fighting, more than Mall is doing. May be a smart move for Andrade to go to PBC.

That right there is the key thing that all these young cats with their egos gotta get through their heads.

It don't matter how good you are. What matters is how well known you are. If the other guy is the bigger name, he gets the Lion's Share of the money? You don't like that? Well there's only one solution. You have to as you said, take the short money and BEAT THE GUY. After that, you've established yourself as a name on par with that fighter, and in all likelihood will be able to demand more money going forward.

True, Andrade should've fought already names like Trout, Hurd, J-Rock, Lara, Korobov, Chenko to build up his resume and his value but I think it was a matter of risk vs reward type of thing. Also I don't think Andrade is that good. He just staying safe until somehow a lucky opportunity strikes him like it happened with BJS.

I guess Andrade just wants to be a free agent to be able to get fights with DAZN, PBC, etc.

Maybe Andrade is not that good as we think. He just overpriced himself since he got that wbo jr mw title, craving for big paydays vs Cotto, Canelo or even FMJ.

I never thought Andrade was particularly good. So he's probably exactly as good as I think he is.

There must be a solid reason that he is staying safe and he is overpricing himself since he got that 154 title back then.

I honestly think it's the fact that big names don't wanna bother to fight him because he's really only a name that hardcores know, and he's a guy that's virtually guaranteed to make a boring fight out of it.

Andrade hasn't fought a world class opponent since Martirosyan in 2013, and he's never going to again. The dude just talks a big game and hopes that some people actually believe he's the one being avoided. If you believe what a boxers SAYS more than what he does in the ring, you're a clown. Fighters like Alvarez, Golovkin, Jacobs, and Lara don't duck anybody; so if they didn't fight Andrade, then Andrade probably avoided all four of them.

Andrade is skilled, but a wasted talent. Reminds me of Thurman. Both deserve every bit of criticism they get.

Think boxrec need to put Zani vs Andrade in there records. Just record it as a 0th round win for Zani via Andrade fleeing.

That makes sense to me.
When the crowd are restless and ready to leave halfway through his fights, he still doesn't get it.
I'm sure he is good, and I'm sure if he pressed the action in his fights he would have got the fans on side and people would actually want to see him again.

If so , then how the heck a cuban-unknown fighter with a boring style like Lara got fights with Molina, P.W, Canelo, Trout, Angulo, Hurd, Castano??

I think DA has no excuses. He overpriced himself and he took no risky fights.
