Nicholson had some tough wars with other HOFers like Lekan Byfield, Steve Rolls, Jesse Hart and Edgar Berlanga.
They scratched that barrel till they found what they needed. lol
Imagine Andrade having the same padded road with wbo title up to LHW!margaret thatcher wrote: ↑07 Dec 2022, 15:54 dropped his mw title to avoid jani and instead fight a clubfighter on an undercard for nothing, makes sense
He'd need a few tune ups at 168 , then he'd try to get a big title fight with Parker or Ryder. Tough, tough road for Andrade.SendoTakeshi wrote: ↑08 Dec 2022, 16:53 An undefeated two division champion fighting a guy who got dominated by Berlanga..
No words for this..
That right there is the key thing that all these young cats with their egos gotta get through their heads.Bandog wrote: ↑09 Dec 2022, 17:50 It's hard to defend Andrade the way he has fucked up his career. Yeah, Canelo, Mall Charlo, Eubank, etc wouldn't fight him, but you have to be active and take small money to get the big money sometimes.
At least he's fighting, more than Mall is doing. May be a smart move for Andrade to go to PBC.
True, Andrade should've fought already names like Trout, Hurd, J-Rock, Lara, Korobov, Chenko to build up his resume and his value but I think it was a matter of risk vs reward type of thing. Also I don't think Andrade is that good. He just staying safe until somehow a lucky opportunity strikes him like it happened with BJS.Bandog wrote: ↑09 Dec 2022, 17:50 It's hard to defend Andrade the way he has fucked up his career. Maybe Andrade is not that good as we think. He just overpriced himself since he got that wbo jr mw title, craving for big paydays vs Cotto, Canelo or even FMJ.gilgamesh wrote: ↑10 Dec 2022, 02:39That right there is the key thing that all these young cats with their egos gotta get through their heads.Bandog wrote: ↑09 Dec 2022, 17:50 It's hard to defend Andrade the way he has fucked up his career. It don't matter how good you are. What matters is how well known you are. If the other guy is the bigger name, he gets the Lion's Share of the money? You don't like that? Well there's only one solution. You have to as you said, take the short money and BEAT THE GUY. After that, you've established yourself as a name on par with that fighter, and in all likelihood will be able to demand more money going forward.
Everyone just wants their Money for Nothing, and their Chicks for Free
I honestly think it's the fact that big names don't wanna bother to fight him because he's really only a name that hardcores know, and he's a guy that's virtually guaranteed to make a boring fight out of it.apollo creed wrote: ↑11 Dec 2022, 05:31There must be a solid reason that he is staying safe and he is overpricing himself since he got that 154 title back then.
That makes sense to me.gilgamesh wrote: ↑11 Dec 2022, 14:42I honestly think it's the fact that big names don't wanna bother to fight him because he's really only a name that hardcores know, and he's a guy that's virtually guaranteed to make a boring fight out of it.apollo creed wrote: ↑11 Dec 2022, 05:31There must be a solid reason that he is staying safe and he is overpricing himself since he got that 154 title back then.
