Both were feasted with stiffs and washed up opponents. Its the art of cherrypicking and building the hype. Its a clever trick to get the money.

hopefully a top light weight next for him. and i dont mean cruz, there's no need to have a rematch of that when there are a number of interesting opponents out there he hasnt fought already.
Yes, he's not actually bad at all, but when a top competitor fights just another decent guy in front of an opportunity of facing someone who's on par with him, that's frustrating.

As per usual.

Davis starts off slow for the first few rounds.

Then he turned it on.

Has Davis ever dominated a fight? He doesn't get schooled but he's always content to give away a shitload of rounds, Garcia, Romero, Cruz, Barrios, Santa Cruz all took rounds off him but that power is a get out of jail card, not literally unfortunately for Tank

Lol at the three 120-108 cards for Boots. He looked convincing for the first three rounds but I had it just 115-113 when it was all over... He won't do anything against the likes of Spence or Crawford. Althought those bullshit artists will never fight anyone.

Tank was good, the finishing shots were sickening. But I had it 76-76 by the time they stopped it...

Lol at 115-113, it was a shotout, the spoiler was only moving away from the action and barely brought anything.

Well, honestly I don't have a problem with wider score cards but Boots wasn't really looking good at all. He was average.

I see why they match Davis soft. He was struggling with the southpaw left hook, luckily Garcia didn't have the power or consistency to do much with it, but I'm sure top tier guys will have been watching that carefully.
I can't even say it was an exciting fight. It didn't pick up until the 5th really, and for the lightweight division it was a staggeringly low punch output.

I’ve no idea how many titles tank is supposed to have won, it’s irrelevant really, But I can’t see anybody beating him just now - maybe someone like Loma outboxing him, but the man is an absolutely frightening puncher - top tier, up there with the very best.
I’m glad Garcia quit when he did, he almost had his head taken off in the previous round: granite tough and people like that need to be looked after, by themselves if their oblivious corner aren’t up to the job, because they take too much punishment; he should’ve really been knocked out a few rounds before with a normal chin.

Tank reminds me in personality to that other unbeatable loose cannon from the 80s Aaron Pryor.

he’s not really at the races sometimes: halfway through the fight he was more concerned with finding out if his girlfriend was in the crowd, Completely unconcerned that he had an absolute badass cyborg in front of him, who had upset written all over him.

I hope he holds it all together. Ryan Garcia is getting badly advised, if the fight comes off there’s no doubt he is getting tombstoned.

Two very different opinions there - from 3 people !

I'm not so sure King Ry will get done - IF he can stay out the way he'll win enough rounds. Big IF obviously, totally agree Loma should be able to do it.
Can't wait to see either... :box:

By the way, why was it so god damn horrendous for you guys in here when a female boxer had those only fans logos on her gear but no one has a problem with Boots Ennis or Hector Garcia wearing that stuff?

Smart stoppage by Garcia, he wasn't going to recover from the damage he took in the 8th. Garcias head didn't clear after he got to the corner and decided it wasn't worth going back out there and taking unnecessary punishment.

Tank didn't look great. Hector showed he wasn't intimated and showed good timing.

I had Hector up at the time of the stoppage. Tank will need to sharpen his defence against Ryan or he may find himself being counted out
