It does look like Usyk is more slim than he was against Joshua. I wonder if that's a wise tactic. Unless Usyk figures if he's faster on his feet he can get more done but the trade off certainly will be losing some punching power as well as some punch resistance.
Only time will tell. He's still got time to add muscle to his frame a little more. I figure he'll still come in around 215 or 220-ish.
Fury may well ultimately prove to be too big, but Usyk is definitely gonna give him his share of difficulties no doubt.
I can't see Fury wrecking Usyk early or nothing like that, so he's gonna lose quite a few rounds if nothing else.
I wonder if Tyson Fury being so quiet lately has to do with Fury wanting team Usyk to be essentially in the dark as to whether he's going to come in lighter or heavier. I think it would be wise for Fury to be in the high 250s or low 260s for this one but I could also see Fury coming in 275+ to try to rag doll Usyk.
Despite all the talk from Tyson Fury I think he knows that Usyk is going to be one of the stiffer tests of his entire career but I think the Mind Game aspect of it all is to either treat the Ukrainian like a middleweight or to make as little noise as possible about him as if he's basically a non-factor.
Not that Usyk isn't mentally strong himself but the key primary difference between the Klitschko fight and this is that Fury considered Vladimir to be a super champion publicly, whereas privately I think Fury knew that Vladimir was on his way out because of his age, but I think he considers Usyk to be a super champion privately. He just don't want the Ukrainian to know that or the world to know that which is the Mind Game aspect, where Usyk might feel that Tyson Fury is not taking him seriously when in fact he really is.
Unrelated but I wonder what the sparring partners are going to be for both men going into this contest because it's rather difficult to find boxers I would imagine that could actually replicate Fury or Usyk.
