It does look like Usyk is more slim than he was against Joshua. I wonder if that's a wise tactic. Unless Usyk figures if he's faster on his feet he can get more done but the trade off certainly will be losing some punching power as well as some punch resistance.
Only time will tell. He's still got time to add muscle to his frame a little more. I figure he'll still come in around 215 or 220-ish.

Fury may well ultimately prove to be too big, but Usyk is definitely gonna give him his share of difficulties no doubt.

I can't see Fury wrecking Usyk early or nothing like that, so he's gonna lose quite a few rounds if nothing else.

I wonder if Tyson Fury being so quiet lately has to do with Fury wanting team Usyk to be essentially in the dark as to whether he's going to come in lighter or heavier. I think it would be wise for Fury to be in the high 250s or low 260s for this one but I could also see Fury coming in 275+ to try to rag doll Usyk.

Despite all the talk from Tyson Fury I think he knows that Usyk is going to be one of the stiffer tests of his entire career but I think the Mind Game aspect of it all is to either treat the Ukrainian like a middleweight or to make as little noise as possible about him as if he's basically a non-factor.

Not that Usyk isn't mentally strong himself but the key primary difference between the Klitschko fight and this is that Fury considered Vladimir to be a super champion publicly, whereas privately I think Fury knew that Vladimir was on his way out because of his age, but I think he considers Usyk to be a super champion privately. He just don't want the Ukrainian to know that or the world to know that which is the Mind Game aspect, where Usyk might feel that Tyson Fury is not taking him seriously when in fact he really is.

Unrelated but I wonder what the sparring partners are going to be for both men going into this contest because it's rather difficult to find boxers I would imagine that could actually replicate Fury or Usyk.

Different fighters represent different challenges.

Wilder is almost certainly the biggest puncher Fury will ever face, and he's proven his superiority there.

Usyk is the very Technical Skilled all around Operator that he has to get by. Often that guy is the harder matchup because he's more versatile.

I don't know who on Earth you could get to replicate Fury as a Sparring partner. Maybe David Price? Someone like that I guess.

To replicate Usyk I guess your best bet would be like say a Mairis Breidis or Dmitry Bivol. Joseph Parker who's kinda a technical guy might be a good sparring partner for the type of style Usyk will be bringing. I don't know.

Like the rest of us, he is wondering if the fight will get made. Fury made the Chisora III and Wilder fights so quickly but it seems to take a lot longer for the tougher challenges of Joshua and Uysk. Just a casual observation.
It’s strange, a fight where both bring a lot to the table is a lot harder to arrange.

So Usyk has made a start

Fury's social media name callings are typically nasty and more than a bit cringe.
Usyk - likely helped by his accent - offerings are far more endearing; beh-lllly : :D

I did say it was helped by the accent Mick .. just like the time he was calling for Derek :D

Fury with his own funny accent just can`t compete sorry Mick ... similar to how Fury was ranting and silly talking at Usyk ringside recently, and the crowd reacted more positively when Usyk just widened his eyes; you gotta admit it Mick - Usyk has it - Fury doesn`t :stop:

I don't know why you defend him, he's a proven PED cheat. If you're alright with that, then I guess you're alright with Benn and Whyte cheating as well. They should all get life bans.

When Povetkin failed, he was no longer my hero. I hate all drug cheats.

Depends on the circumstances. I love Paul Ingle, but he got done for a diuretic and I’m a big Fury fan so I’d be a hypocrite to say I agree.

Usyk just seems to be a naturally affable and amusing individual, unlike Fury who's "banter" is boorish and boring.

"No one knows how to deal with crazy." I read that somewhere, seems apt.

According to press reports, Fury has gone on a two week holiday to Tenerife. Doesn't sound like Uysk vs Fury is going to happen any time soon ( if at all).

Considering nothing has been signed yet, no point overreacting or assuming. If nobody has signed, and no venue has been chosen, you might as well go on a family vacation.

It does beg the question though, if Warren sent the contract to Usyk... why is Usyk saying, "Belly where are you?", could this be some attempt by team Usyk to make it seem like team Fury is dragging heels when the truth is they haven't signed to fight Fury?

If Fury actually takes this fight, I’ll give him a lot of credit. Doubt he will though, likely just retire again until Usyk signs to face someone else.

Well, at least it's not 1 night away to a fashion show 😱
The date being spouted by Arum, Warren and Krassyuk was no later than March 3rd, which is less than 7 weeks away. 2 weeks holiday in Tenerife doesn't bode well for that proposed date. Hopefully nothing more to it and the fight gets signed without any more fking around.
I'm assuming the elbow didn't need surgery then and all good to go. 🤞🏻

I don’t think anyone involved has said that. I’d imagine they’d say a bit more than ‘belly’ if they felt that way.
