He didn't do it with shabby Arreola and Ortiz, who got hurt barely from every clean shot.
Ortiz would probably KO Hrgovic. Ortiz is like a #8-10 guy, and hasn't been stopped by anyone besides Wilder ever. He hasn't slipped too far from his peak ability when he was like #5-6. Hrgovic IMO got a gift against Zhilei Zhang. If I was judging that fight, he would've lost the decision and fallen down to like #40 in the standings.

Ortiz in his prime would stop Hrgo, but now chances equaled.

Based on what victory? Ortiz was a hyped fighter.

He failed to finish Scuba Scott. No way would I bet on Ortiz finishing Hrgovic.

Isn't Hrgo hyped too? Imagine Ortiz landing on Hrgo those shots, which stopped Jennings and hurt Wilder. And his killer instinct was better than Zhang's. Is Hrgo the same tough as Wilder to overcome this?

I doubt it will happen. Haymon will find a way to put him with Wilder, who seems to have this pie in the sky dreams he can get Usyk next.
Ironically I envision a fourth fight with Fury if you look at the roadmap between TR and PBC. Wilder (and Usyk to a degree) seen to be the only ones with balls to square up against Fury. Maybe Joyce if the money is right.
Hergovic was gifted the Zhang fight as we all know. I see:
Fury Vs Usyk (Fury win)
Wilder Vs Ruiz (Wilder win)
Joyce Vs Hergovic (Joyce win)
AJ Vs Franklin (AJ win)
From there, the top two (Wilder and Fury) will square up and as much of a Wilder fan I am, styles (to be cliche) Fury wins.

Zhang is a front runner. Not a Briggs style, but his age is just that. Would love to see Zhang and Ortiz knuckle up. Someone going to sleep 😴 before 4 rounds (and imagine it would be Zhang). Still interesting fight IMHO.
The HW division is ripe at the moment. We all know that division drives the bus for boxing so these promoters need to seize the moment and more importantly STOP the PPVs. What ever happened to #FreeBoxing4All ? I have been a fan going in 50 (FIFTY!) years now and I’m telling you PPV will put us back in to the 90’s. Let UFC sucker down and ruin itself with PPV, but free boxing will generate more revenue over time for fighters IMO. Okay there is my rant. Ugh.

Wilder WANTS the Ruiz fight.

Haymon will probably make sure it happens.

No he is not hyped fighter. He passed his test during for him an off night vs the silver medalists of the previous Olympics. who was un-beaten. I don't think much of Ortiz who beat nobody of note and old and is old as dirt.

Zhang would have stopped Ortiz. Yes, Ortiz is a hyped fighter and has been for years. You aren't a Wilder fan, are you?

Your inflamed logic is ridiculous. Literally loled at the Wilder fan. Go read Fury-Wilder rbr threads.

Your Silver Olympic medalist didn't beat anyone of note before facing Hrgo and almost lost to Jerry Forrest. And Hrgo barely defeated him, while he didn't deserve the dec by many opinions.

Jennings in the resume of Ortiz is better than any scalp of your Chinese love. Never seen anyone sold on f8cken Zhang before. :D

I am neiter an Ortiz fan, and he is old an PED positive tested, or Zhang who was undefeated and a silver medalists in the past Olympic games until beaten by Hrgovic.

Your putting way to much stock in Old Man Ortiz and not enough in the undefeated Hrgovic would next fight should be for the IBF title.

Ruiz by the way had a chances to fight Hrgovic and passed while back before Zhang stepped in. We shall see if he passes again, this time for the IBF title belt.

I'm not putting too much in the today's Ortiz, but overall his resume is much better than Zhang's one, that's obvious as f8ck.

Ortiz has Jennings, Thompson, Hammer and Martin, which isn't stellar, but overcomes Zhang's resume, which has only f8cken Andriy Rudenko and a draw against Jerry Forrest.

Bringing up a silver medal at Olympics of 2008 is also ridculous. It was 15 years ago FFS, in the amateur boxing. Now Zhang is a 40 year old pro-fighter, who barely got rid of a can diet.

So here's a curveball. He may just be trying to squeeze more out of PBC but maybe things are being shaken up with the changes to Showtime. Either way, if Wilder looks elsewhere, maybe Ngannou, Whyte or Joshua, then we could see Ruiz against Hrgovic for the Interim IBF title or should he choose to go for the WBC mandatory then his opponents would be, in this order, Sanchez/Makhmudov/Joshua/Whyte.

An interesting turn of events could create some other interesting matchups but I think I'd still rather see Ruiz against Wilder, though I don't want to see Wilder fight Fury or for the WBC belt anytime again soon.

Maybe Wilders team just think Ruiz is too risky, he has been carefully matched.
As for the IBF, they are the most dropped belt of the four. I doubt Andy cares that much about it.

I'm a huge fan of Andy Ruiz Jr.

With that said, Hrgovic would win by knockout if these two stepped in the ring against each other.

IBF are going against their own rules by going to purse bids on this fight.

They might be trying to force him to decide between this and the WBC so they can get on with replacements. Looks like it's Wilder causing problems on the WBC side.

It's more likely to happen for Ruiz, since it looks like Divantey tries to sell out.
