Sky and Boxxer have done a terrible job in raising the profile of their fighters. Hearn used to be everywhere with his fighters. Bar Okollie and Riakphore a few weeks ago, where have we seen the likes of Whittaker, Frazier, Dubois, Catterall etc?

They spunked their load on Brook vs Khan and haven't capitalised.

To be fair, I think the boxing demographic has changed...We care about the likes of Whittaker, Caterall etc... but does the average lay fan? I think Eddie is experiencing something similar as most of his interviews now are about Connor or AJ....what is happening with Campbell Hatton as an example. I think bringing on new fighters to be stars is trickier than it used to be.

Agreed. Eddie was doing a brilliant job in hyping up Benn before the pregnancy and is doing his best to build interest around AJ's return and Taylor fight. He making more noise than Shalom despite not having the backing of Sky.

He is but he also doesn’t have Sky pushing the fighters on SSN, other TV shows on Sky like Soccer AM, running ads between the football and having Sky push it on social.

All Eddie’s pushing will still not get close to the level of exposure can give it when right behind it. The only time Eddie’s come close since he moved to DAZN was the hype building up to Benn/Eubank.

I think though the issue with Adam Smith is also a factor. If sky are without a head of boxing, then it is an issue of quality control and also Adam was a good person to be involved in the promotion side of things - I always enjoy Adam on the Youtube channels as he is one of the more objective speakers regarding other promotions.

It would also help having someone internally at Sky pushing boxing. Getting boxers on the various other Sky shows and getting the boxing promo adds as widely pushed as possible.
