What were the American sales for those fights?
I don't think there are publicly available data about that. But even the Wilder-Fury bouts were only generating around 800k (best estimate) so Fury is not the PPV king he claims himself to be - not in the US and not in the UK either. And in any case, the US viewership has little to do with the planned undisputed fight. While Fury's supposed "British PPV magnet on home soil" status is what they claim as the basis for him deserving the bigger cut, the data show that if anything, Usyk is more popular in the UK than Fury these days. The Fury-Chisora III bout was a total flop at an estimated 300k PPV sales.
Sorry, but there is no chance Usyk - Chisora did over 1m buys, WBN is notorious for just making stuff up. Usyk's manger came out about the Fury fight and said we sold 500k for Bellew fight, I think he might have mentioned over 1m for Chisora.
Most of those fights were on US time, so never going to get high PPV numbers in the UK. I'm not sure of the argument, do people think Usyk is a bigger commercial draw than Fury? Maybe I'm wrong but can't see it.
Wilder vs Fury 1 - 325,000 PPV buys (USA)
Wilder vs Fury 2 - 1.2 Million PPV buys (USA)
Fury vs Wilder 3 - 600,000 PPV buys (USA)
Usyk vs Fury will do 1.5 Million PPV buys (UK) - that' s my prediction and 94,000 sell out at Wembley Stadium.
FWarren said Fury vs Chisora did over 500,000 PPV buys (UK) attendance was 59,769 something.
Seems quite novel to suggest the home fighter should earn more, when Usyk's on hostile ground once again, and now as a three-belt champ. That's 50% all day for me. Very reasonable.

Apparently Fury/Whyte did 40,000 buys on ESPN. Bob was predicting 500k buys beforehand.
Explains why they didn’t bother having the Chisora fight on PPV.
I’d also take Frank saying that Fury/Chisora did over 500k with a pinch of salt.

That's what I think, also Usyk had agreed to what the Saudis had offered. What he gets offered now will be much less even if it's 50/50 I guess.

Fury will have got loads less to box Chisora for a third time in December than he would have got to box Uysk in February/March, so it's not about money. It's about Fury avoiding a defeat to Uysk that would be replayed on YouTube for ever.
I reserved a ‘luxury apartment’ yards from Wembley in case it landed on this date, free cancellation. Got an email today requesting the cancellation. Happened to me in Germany for Wlad v Haye too. And that one next to The O2. Bastards don’t like you getting a good deal.

Hope you enjoy Fury v Wallin, or whatever you'll actually get served up!

Hopefully you can say no as it seems Fury is fighting then regardless of the opponent.

Has Fury turned the Saudis down?
I don't know but the fight isn't happening there now by the sounds of it.

I don't get your point here? Are you trying to say that Usyk is as big, or bigger, commercial draw than Fury? I'm no fan of Fury, but you'd have to be mad to think he isn't a FAR bigger draw than Usyk. You think Usyk-Chisora (after fighting twice before) is doing 60k in the winter and 500k buys (don't believe the WBN rubbish). It's not even close.
If the roles were reversed and Usyk was the bigger name and Fury was demanding 50% everyone would be going mad, saying take 40% and make the fight.
I'm a big fan of Usyk in and out of the ring... but this is business and at the end of the day he brings FAR less than Fury does to the table.

No - Fury is a much bigger draw than Usyk.
I was just giving my thoughts on some of the numbers.
Whilst Fury does bring more financially to the table in the U.K., Usyk brings 3 belts and won’t want to risk making less than he agreed to fight for in Saudi. Which I get.

But Saudi is now off the table (Bob Arum confirmed today) - so he can't ask for the same money as the Saudi deal for a UK fight? Bob Arum said today the numbers are wildly different. Their team saying it's 50/50 or nothing, in my opinion is the blocker in this deal. The fight is now heading to the UK, that seems pretty definite, so Saudi money is gone. In the UK Fury-Usyk does more buys than Fury Joyce, but not by a huge magnitude. Where does Usyk go?
It's a shame that, with this being the chance for both of them to make history; the first unified, undisputed Heavyweight World Champion since Lennox Lewis, it's the matter of a few percentages and money between 2 millionaires that will probably scupper any deal.
Money over history.

I guess Fury's got to feel like it's more money than he'd making just fighting a couple of donuts. And probably not feel like he'll end up looking like John Ruiz chasing ghosts around the ring against Roy Jones.

Saudi’s seemingly off the table because they didn’t meet Fury’s financial demands. Bob said himself that they were both negotiating directly with Saudi and Usyk got a deal done. It appears now that Fury couldn’t.
I’m sure Usyk can still make big money against someone like Wilder. He doesn’t strike me though as a guy who’s doing it just for the money. If he made the reported $40m for the second AJ fight then pretty much anything will be a step down.
He’s bringing 3 belts to his opponents back yard and will likely be earning less because his opponent couldn’t get a deal done with Saudi. 50/50 doesn’t seem an unreasonable request to me.
