Conor Benn - What Next?
Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
Could be true, Rocky Balboa made the drinking egg diet famous and look how his shape rapidly improved between movies.

Just checked and it isn't April 1st. Fck me, if anyone believes any professional nutritionist would advise a pro athlete to consume 60 eggs per day, however they are consumed, then they need to be sectioned. It's like a story Boris Johnson would dream up and expect the public to believe him. His arteries must be clogged up to fck.

Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
A load of people on here predicted "the egg defence" was gonna be the old chestnut.
Talking about eggs. I'm really looking foward to my dinner tonight. Uncastrated boar meat with 60 boiled eggs. I can't wait!

Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
We need some whistle-blower nutritionist who worked with a 21-year old Benn coming out saying Conor failed an allergy test for eggs and their ‘proteins’.

He still can’t fight in the UK.
Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
But he can fight Pac-Man in the UAE.
Mental isn’t it.
Won’t be long before the BBBC wilt.
Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
It’s a pitiful excuse. 60 eggs a day. Is he one of the Mr. Men?

The BBBofC are a joke. Is he suspended indefinitely? Banned for a year? Two?

Nothing. He doesn’t have a license and the BBBC would want a UKAD review before allowing him to fight.keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 15:18The BBBofC are a joke. Is he suspended indefinitely? Banned for a year? Two?
Based on the few cases I know with UKAD, I’d imagine he’d get a ban but probably something like 6 months so will be able to fight.

I get that if he isnt licenced ukad cant ban him... But ukad/BBBoC are acting like there is no work around.
Ukad need to run a case, if connor choses to ignore it its easy... then openly say your ban will be (1/2 /3/4/5 years?), but clarify it will not be backdated and the clock only starts and runs while you have a BBBoc/UKAD licence and are in the testing pool.

Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
Yes there is a small wrinkle in the logic as the Food Standards Agency have gone on the record saying there is no Clomiphene in the UK food chain and it’s not legal to use it in farming. So Conor’s 60 eggs a day must be coming from a seriously dodgy source. Perhaps he flies them in from Mexico? A pallet a week dropped from the sky like in Cocaine Bear!joshj909 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 14:00 Don't British eggs not have Clomiphene? I'm sure someone posted a link confirming that somewhere.
Also, why have no other athletes failed in this way before. I'm sure lots eat plenty of eggs, has Benn been setting records for egg eating now?
He also suggested that it was a contamination first, not from egg consumption. Changed his story when the lawyer saw another route.

On another note isn’t Barry H being licensed by the British Board of Control under some obligation to follow a code of conduct? Couldn’t he have his licence pulled for breaking rules and undermining board rulings by having murky dealings with Conor in other countries to effectively beat the system?

We will find out where he gets his eggs from when he sues the supplier for loss of earnings

If he has bought the eggs in liquid form, they could be from anywhere. If I was the BBBofC, I'd be asking where he bought them and asking to see proof of purchase.maverick23 wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 15:26Nothing. 60 eggs every single day? He must think we are all punch drunk.
Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
Returning his license was part of a plan to evade being sanctioned by the BBBoc and UKAD.
I’m guessing he will get licensed overseas, then request to fight here as overseas fighter.
When refused he will take legal proceedings saying, well you allowed Alexander Povetkin and a catalogue of other overseas fighters who were found taking substances to fight here, then argue why are you allowing them and preventing me from earning a living.

Yeah, it's like one-time he drank more than 30 eggs whites, regretted it, but then came up with one of the most far-fetched doping excuses of all-time. Presumably they bribed the WBC. Isn't that how it usually works for unjustified rankings?Fearful_Freddie wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 15:53 60 eggs every single day? He must think we are all punch drunk.
Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
Has he actually claimed he has 60 eggs?

Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
Surely if you failed your first drugs test from an excessive consumption of eggs “cough cough”
You would stop your excessive consumption of eggs so as not to fail a second drug test??

Re: Conor Benn - What Next?
Can't be from anywhere, there's a list of EU and non-EU countries. There's strict health certification and documentation needed via the Animal and Plant Agency to import eggs for human consumption. They will spot check and sample, and the Food Standards Agency has said the drug is not in the food chain. You're only dealing with something that is theoretically possible. I'm not even sure there are any farmers in any countries actually using this stuff to boast egg production, and if there are they aren't importing into the UK!keithmoonhangover wrote: ↑22 Feb 2023, 15:52If he has bought the eggs in liquid form, they could be from anywhere.
