As much as I dislike Jake Paul, he's taken on the full time boxers lifestyle. I dont believe Tommy Fury has done that.

Jake Paul also has the money to have a top notch team around him. It's not like Tommy is the only one with great boxing brains surrounding him in the gym.

If I go by the eye test based on past performances, I lean towards Jake.

They're both mediocre boxers and the fight makes alot of sense. But I honestly would have no idea who Jake Paul was if he didn't box and would have no clue who Tommy Fury was if he wasn't the brother of the best HW in the world.

For one it’s fornicating stupid, you can’t script a swollen eye…
Actually you can, if you purposely misuse the enswell.

Bizarre. This clearly has not been given any attention from a sporting integrity perspective.

Any word on how it's actually going?

The fake script was a funny idea, but poorly thought out. Obviously eye swelling wouldn't be part of a script.

Scripted fight ...reminds me of Mickey Rourke's exhibition in Russia a few years back. :OhYes:

The fight sucked. Both are amateurish.

Tommy won fairly. Paul deserved only three rounds: 5,6 and 8.

The referee sucked, both deductions weren't fair, he made the second one to equal the fight after the first one.

No surprise, the decision was right. There was an aim to make it close in order to promote the rematch.

The first fight was a novelty, will they get anywhere near the interest of the first? I don't see where else Fury goes though, I'm not sure he even gets to English title level and he's not going to fight dangerous contenders for less money at York Hall. Bit of a shite watch. Undercard fight was good though

I haven't watched the fight, only seen a couple of clips on YouTube. That's a good win for Tommy Fury. He will have been under a lot of pressure and he delivered and got the win.

I think YouTube boxing is here to stay. Nature abhors a vacuum, and the YouTube battles are filing the holes in boxing, where the best ( Tyson Fury, Erroll Spence and Josh Taylor, the most recent examples)avoid their toughest competitors.

“I think Jake got that one,’ Wilder said to Fight Hub TV. “It was an immature point The referee is supposed to give him at least three warnings. He gave him NO warnings; get out of here.

‘I think so [Jake Paul should have won]. With the knockdown, he sealed it. He got that point taken away. I think Jake Paul needed that knockdown, and when he did, it evened it out. I think he only gave it to Fury because of the point taken,” said Wilder.

I don't really know either of those guys, but this is getting crazy.
This Jake Paul guy is the favorite in this fight and even if he wasn't, in boxing there are alot of upsets and we don't call them "fixed" afterwards.

That being said, I watched a little bit of them both fighting. I can see this Paul guy getting the W.
He has a punchable face, but I don't get all the hate he is getting.
Nothing to do with hate.

You simply can't pick up boxing as a hobby after turning 20 and start to beat real professionals. (not counting journeyman)

Tommy boy might be more wanna be celebrity than a boxer but he at least has legit backround with the sport.

There is a good reason that Jake has not boxed real boxers before. Anyone half decent would just blow him out.

Fight being somewhat close just goes to show that Tommy is not much of a boxer in reality.

Jake Paul claims over 500k buys and counting

Paul explained: “I guess the silver lining is that the pay-per-views are off the f***ing charts, probably going to be the biggest fight of the year.

“It’s going to be hard to contend with, maybe [Ryan] Garcia and [Gervonta] Davis.”

Logan asked: “No way, what are the numbers?”

Paul continued: “It’s probably coming in at, like, over half a million buys, but still totalling everything.

“So the business is great, obviously there’s still so many names out there for me to fight.

That would be $25m before deductions. That’s just the US. Was obviously cheaper in the UK but also primetime.
