regardong Chickie Ferrra.
According to Angelo Dundee's autobiography.
Chick Ferrara was his first mentor when he arrived in New York City around 1950.
Ferrara was also a second in Ali's corner for the "Fight of the Century" (March 1971)
and he also trained Earnie Shaver's for at least one fight in 1972.

Chickie took over as head trainer for Dick Tiger after Jimmy August died in 1965. Tiger would go on to say that Chickie was the far better trainer, in fact, he was a teacher-something August was not, according to Tiger.

read something recently also about Ray Arcel too.
Back in the 1950's some of "the Boys" wanted him to
arrange a fight, he refused.
His reward was a crack to the head with a lead pipe (wrapped in newspaper)
while in a large crowd. It fractured his skull.
