No change because nobody else below Joshua has won worthwhile fights which exceed Joshua's. I don't tend to increase rank off a loss so Franklin remains out but he's proven against Joshua and Whyte that he can probably get himself into the top 15 with the right opponents.

It's up to Joyce, Wilder, Ruiz etc to exceed Joshua's record at this point unless he crushes cans for a while or until he loses against a lower ranked guy than himself and they are pretty far off without facing other top 10 ranked guys in my opinion.

For reference, this would be my 3-8:
Joshua
Ruiz
Whyte
Joyce
Parker
Wilder

No change. Franklin was unranked, so winning him can't affect anything.

Wilder didn't get voted over AJ after his KO win over Helenius.

Why should AJ now move down after beating Franklin.

I'd keep him at 3, no reason not to. I feel if Joyce looks really impressive against Zhang he could leapfrog AJ and Wilder though, although Zhang isn't a top-class opponent or anything. If it's a Hammer-type performance where he eats loads of big shots and then stops him though I don't think he'll move up.

Keep Joshua where he is.

Wilder needs to drop to #5 and Joyce to #4.

Inactivity is the ruination of these guys and they need to be punished for it. I'm half tempted to say Fury ought to be dropped to #2 and Usyk to #1 because of inactivity and that Chisora fight did nothing for him.

know that i saw that martz has 17 out of 20 knockouts maybe he really let's one rip and catches frank on the wrong foot. who knows?

i never saw the guy fight or at least don't remember it.

in all fairness it would've been quite the surprise if he would've finished on his feet versus any of the guys he got knocked out by.

of martz 30 fights he only went the distance in 4 of them.

If you take the last 18 months, Fury has fought 3 times (wilder x 2 + chisora) while Usyk has fought only once (aj). Yet, you want to drop Fury and raise Usyk, because of inactivity. :brick:

By the end of the month, the only opponent that Fury will have faced in the past 12 months will have been Chisora. See, we can all use arbitrary cut off dates...

IMO Joyce has a good chance of going above Wilder in his next fight.

Let’s focus on Joshua for now.

My vote; keep him where he is.

The other guys below need to be getting the wins against credible opponents.

I go by 12 months.

A Joshua victory is more meaningful than Chisora and Whyte. Sure you could argue that Fury should remain #1 because he's undefeated and the lineal champion, and I can't really argue against it but he definitely needs someone in the BoxRec top ten this year to keep that position from my perspective.

Doesn't change 1 bit the fact that Fury is more active than Usyk in general.

AJ stays put.

Usyk takes first place on the basis of Fury losing by default.

If no contract ever existed and there was no signatures, etc then there was no fight to default on. Even at that fights fall through all the time even after signatures had been signed. I hate to break it to you there is no such thing as losing by default in the sport of boxing. It's a cute idea in team sports, but doesn't exist in boxing.

well i mean chisora is still ranked on clear loss, close loss, clear loss, close win, clear loss....

Puleve is still in on a clear loss, an eh win and a close loss

Hrg is in on absolutly zero and then a lucky win...

So, if lackeo saw franklin as beating whyte (many did) and competitive with AJ (it wasnt close but it was compeditive).... then going above those mentioned isnt that big a stretch... Not my view, and very tough to move up on 2 losses.... but i kinda get it.

Would have made more sense to add him after the Whyte loss. Although he was competitive with AJ, was a clear loss.

I think Chisora is a lucky on. Many posters just love keeping him in.. despite them losses.

His wins over Pulev and Takam just kept him in both times when he would've 100% been ready to drop out beforehand. Looks like time for Pulev to go now after his loss to Chisora coupled with inactivity though.
