Good point. Both, even in 'exhibition' guise would sell massively. Umm, I do recall seeing Marquez looking a bit 'full of life' lately ;-)
On the other hand, I think Manny just loves to fight. Maybe exhibitions don't cut it for him.
Do you mean fat, or coked up?

Sorry to be a pedant mate, but Abu Dhabi is in the UAE, not Saudi.

Neither actually, he just looked 'thicker' all over- neck, torso, legs, arms. A bit like Gervonta Davis between fights, not really fat, just thicker.
I can't guess weights from photos very well, but definitely not light.

Yeah, but it wouldn't matter for an exhibition would it....

It would be pretty sad to see Pacman get smashed up by Benn due to age and inactivity, he's always had a very good chin, so doubt he will get stopped, but at his age, anything can happen.

Would be hard to feel sorry for Benn if Manny came in looking like the Rock and smushed him.
It certainly would, given the coin he stands to earn.

You’d have thought so but what he’s done in the Philippines is how he’s burned through so much money.

I’d imagine he spent a load in his political career and he’s simply far too generous. Randomly a guy i used to work with was friends with him when he lived over there. Would go round and play chess against him every so often (I didn’t believe him until he showed me some photos of them together). He said he had dozens of hangers on and that people would literally come to the house asking for money which he’d often give them.

Why would pac fight Benn.... has to have better options. Mcgregor for one seems to actually make sense.... and would be 10x the paycheck.

McGregor is signed to the UFC. Would have to get out of that or the fight be promoted by the UFC in some form. Wouldn’t be easy to make happen.

Don't know , But i do recall an interview with Freddie Roach a while back , where he said , he was concerned for Manny , he said Manny was so generous to others , he was concerened he would end up broke after giving most of his wealth away , apparantly he had a very very big entourage he used to feed and take care off

There's Pacquiao's motivation for the Benn fight right there. He is in the hole for $5.1 million.

I know a lot of Filipinos through work.

They give the impression that Pacquiao’s stature back home is something we can’t really comprehend here. It’s not like a Bruno/Eubank/Hatton profile - more like that of the King/Queen/PM/David Attenborough!

He’s basically a god. Part of that has come from the huge number of causes he appears to have supported, so I could see how his purses could have disappeared.

I really don’t like this fight.

Manny looked tiny next to a fairly small welterweight in Benn yesterday. Perhaps he hasn’t been ‘training’ as much as he once did.

It’s a shame Manny is seemingly needing to fight for money this late in his career/life after all the money he made.

I also think Eddie is massively over estimating the impact of this one. He reckons it sells out Wembley. I’d be surprised if it sold out the O2.

I find it hard to believe benn is the best manny could get.

Inoue, tank, Ryan Garcia, Loma… all better and bigger fights.

Sean O’Malley…

Floyd 2…

McGregor…

Jake Paul…

There are ginormous fights for manny if he boxes again (I don’t really think he should but eh his call) , just don’t see benn as the one…

This is so typical … massive names who go skint despite earning millions
