It’s possible, especially if you spend too much time mooching around Morecambe and believing your own hype, and Ruiz actually shows up in shape.
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
One opponent was fully fit and ready and gave up waiting for the constant goalpost shifter.BigDoofus wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 09:52“facts are facts” but you fail to mention one opponent not training for 3 December and the other fleeing to Poland before pulling out.coneye wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 08:52 Facts are facts and there is no disputing Tyson Fury is probably the best heavy out there , there is no doubt whatsoever about that , but the problem is he is just content to let his fan boys shout him up , his father shout him up and then himself tell us all he is , BUT he will not prove it , he has refused to fight the two men who wins over would propel him into the actual and factual UNDEFEATED CHAMPION of the WORLD .
and what makes it worse is the simple fact that even the people who don't like him would say he has to be favorite , but we will never know because he started this duck and dive bollocks a while ago and is getting older and with every month that goes by his chances of winning diminish , and thats why i don't think you will see these fights . I'm not even sure he would fight Zang now after seeing him demolish Joyce
Lets not forget we can go back a LONG LONG time of Tyson having history of ducking what were considered live opponents . how long ago was it he refused to fight Price , it was,nt a few weeks ago was it
As Fury “is getting older”, name the fighter that isn’t.
Then went to see his family whilst, a
Clearly not ready Fury was shouting down the mic
Wake up Doufus. Ya Dosser!!!!

I don't think Tyson could ever slip far enough to lose to Ruiz.polecateddy wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 12:41 It’s possible, especially if you spend too much time mooching around Morecambe and believing your own hype, and Ruiz actually shows up in shape.

So by default, you think the same re: AJ?
Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Ruiz seems to be the latest boxer who fans seem to have issues with short term memory. Last time out in world class he lost every second of every round against Joshua (who outboxed him) and his 2 last fights he has a struggle against Chris Arreolla and the 240 year old Ortiz.
A bit like Joyce almost by default it seems like he gets more respect, just as people's memory fades. Some people were hailing Joyce as the only guy that could beat Fury and that victories against Joshua and Usyk would be a given if he fought them - the same guy who was losing heavily (IMO) to Dubois at the time of the stoppage and was having problems vs Parker also (who is on the Dillian Whyte level). Not trying to be wise after the event as I never in a million years thought Joyce would slip up against Zhang, but I needed to see him in more gatekeeper fights before calling fights with Joshua and Usyk.

I'm interested to see what happens in talks this week between Fury and his promoters. They will need to see how serious Fury is about fighting the top guys.BigDoofus wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 08:26The knitting circle don’t have much interest in watching Fury but they are obliged to post about him daily.big lennox wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 08:12 I don't have much interest in watching Fury fight again to be honest.
Im glad that The Ring Magazine has Usyk as the top dog in the division. It reflects that Uysk is the main man.
If he is not, presumably, there will come a point where it's not worth saddling themselves with someone who is only interested in guaranteed victories.
Peter Fury was on IFL saying how boring guaranteed victory fights are, which was quite telling, and I do think Fury's stock has plummeted in the wider public's mind (beyond the knitting circle). The Ring Magazine updating their Heavyweight rankings reflects this.

He does seem to have gone very quiet. Perhaps even he doesn’t really know if he wants to fight this summer or not.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
I remember quite clearly saying on here a few times it is said that Fury played with Joyce in sparring at his absolute worst, 25st+. Ruiz lost the AJ rematch by being grotesquely out of shape. He already showed he was clearly the better man but you just can't get away with coming in like that. Same goes for the Arreolla fight. Ortiz is a bit different as he gives anyone problems, hence Matchroom signing him to protect AJ.stujones wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 12:51 Ruiz seems to be the latest boxer who fans seem to have issues with short term memory. ruiz came in lighter vs arreola, about as light as you can realistically expect, and was awful
losing weight wont take away his trex arms or plodding feet. keep it long and aj beats him easily at any weight. fury and usyk toy with him too. pbc blew the ruiz-wilder fight, which made a lot of sense with both of them under their banner

maybe not giveaways but tickets were still available on the day touts buying tons of tickets to sell on secondary sights doesnt mean it should be called a sell out like allegedly does

Hardly anywhere sells out. I’m sure if I’d have gone down there I’d have got a cheap one. I wanted one of the thousands on offer before I set off.dan28uk wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 14:22mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 04:39Don't worry, Doofus, there will be no doubt tens of thousands of giveaways that not one person on here could get their hands on. dont think ruiz is hungry enuff these days - when he fought aj he was a stand in for baby miller , now he is an ex champ with lots of cash plus some personal issues .mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 12:46I don't think Tyson could ever slip far enough to lose to Ruiz.polecateddy wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 12:41 It’s possible, especially if you spend too much time mooching around Morecambe and believing your own hype, and Ruiz actually shows up in shape.

Re: Tyson Fury vs. TBA - July 2023
Only on a boxing forum where a guy who lost every second of every round will seriously be seen as the better guy.
Of course he completely dominated fight 1 from the start not like he was losing until "the punch from the gods" and was nearly ktfo himself in fight 1.....oh wait

So you think he was 100%? AJ was gunshy the night of the rematch and has been ever since. The rematch was probably the worst thing to happen to him as he started believing he was a master boxer because he was more mobile than Andy.stujones wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 16:20 Only on a boxing forum where a guy who lost every second of every round will seriously be seen as the better guy.

Deary me ,, step back take a deep breath , have a good look around , remember the days of Ali - Frazier - Foreman - norton - Shavers , ect ect ect ,mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 17:15So you think he was 100%? Take another deep breath , relax , and think , them days , and now , hater or lover of current boxers it don't matter , haters will hate , lovers will worship , my missis calls it looking through rose colored glasses , she says i do it with her , she says i still see her the same has when i met her a stunning looking woman , who has,nt changed , 3 kids 8 grandkids and 2 great grandkids and a few decades later ,
so if i do and take them off , have a good look around , then i got to admit , the hairs turned from blonde to grey , figure although still looking the same , is'nt quite the same , i then sort of have to be honest and admit weve both changed and were not quite that handsome couple that used to turn heads when we walked into a room .
I suggest most take there rose colored glasses off and have a look at the heavyweight scene , its quite dreadful at the moment
Fury ,, only fought two credible opponents , one was old and ready for retirement the other had never fought a decent opponent his whole carreer , he's since made excuse to not fight anyone who people think will remotly give him a go .
Aj -- Not much better , and got thrashed when he finally met a good boxer , although his resume was /is better than Furys .
Wilder --- spent a enormous amount of fights boxing easy beats who were hand picked because they would go stand in front of his gigantic right hand , soon has he met someone who would'nt stand still and be ko'd he lost . and lost badly
Ruiz , world of talent but is fat , lazy and unmotivated , and quite small in a land of giants ,
Zang Mmmm , big slow ponderous with a lack of stamina , being hailed on the fact he busted the eye up of another big slow stand in front be hit boxer .
JJ knocked of his place on the sandhill , discovered his only defence his head is'nt quite up to it when met with a guy who can punch ,
Usyk --- the only saving grace from a bunch of bad ones , comes up from cruiser , willing to fight anyone , anywhere , and skillfull enough to overcome the giants with speed and good technique , but will never go down and get his just rewards , because the giant with the other belt refuses to fight him ...
The very very best of a very very bad bunch , he will be manipulated out of his belts , they will be fractioned up after he retires and we will get on the same merry go round probably with a new bunch of bad heavyweights ,, more than likely Tommy Fury and that u tube fella duking it out for the WBC belt after Fury retires .
Really what a mess we have , the most exciting thing we have in the heavyweight scene is reading the back and forth on the net between fans and the internet negotiations between managers and promoters , Bollocks is'nt it ,
and by the way the missis is still a stunner , without doubt when we hit that nursing home , the Zimerframes will be lined up with there owners trying to have a chat with her

Great post and I agree with a lot of your assessment. The most depressing thing is, I can't really see anyone of note coming up to take the place of this lot.coneye wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 19:03Deary me ,, step back take a deep breath , have a good look around , remember the days of Ali - Frazier - Foreman - norton - Shavers , ect ect ect ,mickey1975 wrote: ↑17 Apr 2023, 17:15So you think he was 100%?
