If anyone is questionably gay it has to be you and that other fellow who kept talking about men's asses around here. I am a boxing purist and the lineal title has always mattered all the way back to James Figg.![]()
the lineal obsession shows the insecurity around the fury bois. instead of actually talking about who he's beaten, which could give him a fine argument in its own right, you go to that utterly crap lineal nonsense, because big daddy usyk has 3 belts to fury's 1. it's okay brah, it's not the end of the world
Tyson Fury defeated the man who defeated Ruslan Chagaev.
It's pretty weak sauce.

Who made Wlad the man? Wasn't Vitali the man? Or Stiverne?Finkel wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023, 11:02No he didn't.HomicideHenry wrote: ↑19 Apr 2023, 23:34It don't matter what arguments you have because at the end of the day Tyson Fury defeated the man who defeated the man who defeated the man. Was never Vitali. Unless it was him up until his retirement.
Some claim Wlad became ‘the man’ after he beat Chagaev, which was considered by many as #1 vs. #2..
And others believe Wlad became ‘the man’ after he beat Povetkin, which was considered #1 vs. #2.
Either way, I think it is fair to say, through his dominance, Wlad was the man by the time Fury fought him.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
Wlad defnitely was the man. He defeated the best opposition possible, only Vitali was left. Vitali defeated the remains of the era, Wlad handled the main contenders.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
My sarcastic point was more that it becomes subjective when selecting the man when they didn't beat the man. There is no continuous lineal chain of heavyweight champions up to this day. Even the first lineal champions are to some degree subjective as there may be some differing opinion on 'the man'.Ruthless-RKO wrote: ↑20 Apr 2023, 11:48No.

For reference, in my eyes, Wlad was 'the man' but he didn't get there by beating the previous man. Not does the lineal championship mean you're the best in the division. Nor does it stick with you forever after you retire or get drugs bans. Nor is it an actual belt or proper championship.

Parker penciled in to fight in Australia in May. Apparently his Boxxer deal was a 2 fight deal. No Limit are in talks with two potential opponents, Brisbane’s Faiga ‘Django’ Opelu and New Zealand’s Kiki Toa Leutele,
Surely just get him in with McKean or Huni? I'd even understand Browne might be a bit of a spectacle so could be worth the money. Of those two Opelu is the better option but not an exciting fight.

opelu's on a respectable domestic run, beating ahio and terz, was ahead of browne before the stoppage. much better opponent of those 2
his last fight ended weird though: Terzievski was knocked down by a punch with Opelu falling on top of him causing an ankle injury to Terzievski and the Dr ruled unfit to continue so declared a technical draw.

Upcoming Heavyweight Fights
03.06.2023 -
24.06.2023 -
The only 2 decent ones confirmed.
I haven’t included the Babic bout cus it’s not technically at HW.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
None of those upcoming fights should have any impact here.

Bakole beating Hulk neither.
He hasn’t fought in nearly a year.
I’d say Hulk beats Bakole, then I’d vote Bakole completely out because the Yoka win did not age well at all. I’d say Hulk would be close but not enter the Top 15.

Huni vs Kuzmin also, June 3. Not that it matters much, but good prospect.
Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
Forgot about that one. Have to say though, Kuzmin has only lost to Bakole and Hunter while getting wins over Price and Dawejko which might not mean much on the face of it but should Huni beat Kuzmin he's probably joined the rest of the 15-25 ranked group who are 1 win away from the top 15. Probably the same should Kuzmin pull off the win aswell.CMCanavessi wrote: ↑21 Apr 2023, 08:29 Huni vs Kuzmin also, June 3. Not that it matters much, but good prospect.

Would be good if BoxRec. You know the official record keeper updated their fights so we knew who was fighting and when.

Re: BoxRec Forum HW Top 15 ranking - Joyce vs. Zhang
Obviously not a major fight and no impact on these rankings but Dawejko is still a top 20 American HW and is fighting Colby Madison in Philly in a couple weeks...I’m not sure what Tank’s training been like but know he’s pretty much in the gym training local kids regularly these days. 2-0 over far from the toughest comp
Since his semi retirement. Not sure if he’s just trying to pad the record and make a few bucks before hanging them up or aiming for another notable opponent fight. Been hoping to see an all Philly battle with Conto but I’m done with Conto, guy literally never fights
