What a shame that he turned down Fury again.

Johnny Nelson: " Tyson Fury doesn't believe he can beat Uysk".
Johnny also believes he would have beaten Usyk comfortably.

That's just the way fighters and ex fighters think. But sometimes they should just keep it to themselves.

Does anyone remember seeing, or have the link to a video of AJ being interviewed a number of years ago possibly before he became champ, he was asked about fighting Wilder and AJ burst out laughing. He said something along the lines of Wilder being too light for him and it would be a mismatch. That interview seems to have disappeared off the internet but I remember seeing it.

Still not convinced Hearn wants Whyte AND Wilder, and he definitely wants Wilder because that is where the money is.

So there’s an immediate rematch clause for AJ.

But not for Whyte.

Whyte wants all rematch clauses to be removed

Fair enough too. There is no title on the line. It is just another fight.

If AJ loses to Whyte he deserves no rematch and should call it a career.

My personal opinion at this point in everyone's careers rematch clauses do not make any sense. This is a fight that everyone expects Joshua to win, and if he can't win it, then his career is officially over. What is killing boxing for the most part is all of these stupid rematch causes. In my view, if you lose, and you are not a champion, there is no point in a rematch. Either retire or face someone else and keep moving forward. You got to keep the show on the road, and all of this petty nonsense is just stagnating the sport.

Of course AJ’s going to ask for a rematch clause. He’s probably had one in every fight for the last 6/7 years. Maybe longer.

He’s got a reported $50m fight at the end of the year so if loses to Whyte with no rematch then that’s completely gone. If he loses then he can after Whyte again and then potentially do the Wilder fight late Spring next year.

Hopefully Whyte accepts it.

Forget a rematch clause, the winner should have a Wilder clause.

Rematchroom is taking the piss here, he's not a champion and isn't the star he once was, it's a non title fight ffs. They obviously have zero faith in AJ.

When would this rematch happen if Whyte beats Joshua then? Doubt the Saudis will put their plans on hold for an already dwindling Anthony Joshua

one of the fundamentals of business is to protect your asset which is what hearn is doing .
whyte will likely just ask for more dosh to agree to a one way rematch clause .

The thing is, if Whyte wins, surely the Joshua train is finished….. I mean who would be interested in a rematch…. Joshua would’ve got beaten by a virtual journeyman who he kod years ago and after getting schooled twice by Usyk…

The CEO of Skill Challenge Entertainment in Saudi, Amer Abdallah, said they don't mind the big 4 fighting prior to December but if they lose they are out. So if we take him at his word, an AJ loss to Whyte prior to December, would have him off the card and without time to avenge the loss anyway.

I am so sick of hearing excuses for Joshua's loss to Ruiz.
